No, but thanks for asking!
Absolutely agree. Even though I'm a high-risk person (I/m 80 years old), I don't trust CDC enough to get another shot.
GFYS!
Amen
I stopped getting Flu shots a long time ago, when I understood that they were at best 38% effective. Not gonna roll the dice on that.
I got a flu shot the year they first came out. Then got the flu.
No shot since then and no flu.
I have two words for the CDC, and they aren’t ‘Happy Holidays’...
NOW? No way in hell I'm getting the flu vaccine. It's being/been switched over to the mRNA plaform and I don't want that crap floating around my body.
I'll risk getting a severe case of the flu instead.
No thanks, I’ll pass...
Turkey, gravy and a side of myocarditis.

That’s really the bottom line.
Flu shots expire in a few months. If you got a shot and then got the flu, months later, not a surprise. It also isn’t sure you got the flu without lab test confirmation, and the sort of flu strain for which you were vaxed.
They aren’t very useful if you get them in January. You are exposed to risk in Oct, Nov and Dec, and in a warm year you are only being protected in Jan, Feb and early March. Flu season fades then.
Here is the relevant array of studies:

They have improved as they improve their predictions of what strains will be present. The data derive from lab tests of individuals showing they did get the strain vaxed for.
Overall looks like 40-60% effective with essentially no risk.
An economical opportunity to suddenly reduce the number of place settings for the coming holiday(s).
I recommend that CDC shut the hell up
The CDC can take a flying F at a slow-rolling donut,

In the 1930s, when men lived into their 50s, we passed Social Security and unwittingly gave our Government a perverse financial incentive to ensure we don’t live past 65…
