LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Two Jefferson County polls will be open 30 minutes later than normal on Tuesday after they were deemed inaccessible earlier in the day.
The Jefferson County Circuit Court ordered that the polls at Blue Lick Elementary and Highland Baptist Church remain open until 6:30 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. because of disruptions that closed the polls.
The court order said that precincts 141 and 145 closed on Tuesday morning for 30 minutes because of a police pursuit in the area. This caused Blue Lick Elementary to be locked down and inaccessible during that time.
Precincts L170, L171, L203, and L219 were also closed for 30 minutes on Tuesday morning due to a potential gas leak. Highlands Baptist Church was shut down during that time.
Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Brian Edwards ordered that the two polls remain open until 6:30 p.m. to account for the disturbances.
The court said it was sufficiently advised, despite the Jefferson County Republican Party's written objection, to extend the window for voting at the two polls. This was also in compliance with Kentucky law KRS 118.035, according to the court order.

Totally unnecessary as people who are in line can vote even if the polls closed. Extending the polling time would have *nothing* to do with when people arrive at the polls and to be able to vote...
Every time in dimocrat areas they have this problem. There isn’t another place on the planet that has this issue during elections.
I’m pretty well certain I will be disappointed but not surprised at the outcome of Kentucky’s gubernatorial election.
Louisville had lots of problems today. I just posted about another one.
I’m viewing WSAZ right now and so far
Daniel Cameron (R)
18,005 - 53%
Andy Beshear (D)
15,973 - 47%
Just don’t turn in your numbers until all the polls have shut down. The polls that stay open later can manufacture vote to over come the numbers that have already been turned in.
Yeah, Beshear is going to win running away.
NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA HEY HEY GOOD BYE BESHEAR!
Kentucky Governor General
