The Army Suddenly, and Chaotically, Told Hundreds of Soldiers They Have to Be Recruiters Immediately
Military.com ^ | 11/1/23

Without warning, hundreds of noncommissioned officers were ordered via email to report to the recruiting school at Fort Knox, Kentucky, in less than a week, with hundreds more set to start at the school in December -- a sudden unexpected move by the Army as the service scrambles to boost its recruiting force by 800 by the end of the year.

The orders came after a breakdown in how the Army tracks how many recruiters it has coming through the pipeline along with retention of existing ones, according to Lt. Gen. Douglas Stitt, the Army's top personnel officer. The sudden depletion of recruiters caught Army planners flat-footed, with officials unable to provide a clear explanation as to what went wrong. Now, NCOs will likely have to move during the holiday season and in the middle of the school year, sowing chaos for families.

(snip)

The mad dash to fill its recruiter ranks has the Army dismissing minimum standards to send soldiers to the school, including getting rid of requirements that they have passing fitness scores and be in compliance with body weight standards, according to an internal email reviewed by Military.com. Some soldiers who were set to be drill sergeants will be reassigned as recruiters.

The Army has attributed many of its problems to a shallow pool of qualified applicants and a relatively healthy job market. Recruiters have fought to find applicants who are fit enough to serve, amid a nationwide obesity epidemic, while flagging performance on the academic entrance exam, blamed on underfunding at America's public schools, adds another challenge.

The Space Force and Marine Corps hit their recruiting goals last year, but those services are much smaller than the rest and, therefore, have a lower bar for recruiting quotas.

Facing war on potentially 3 fronts and democrats in charge...

We have not had a DRAFT in my adult lifetime. And we have the least mentally resilient generations we have ever seen.

This just does not look good.

I think they have more than inched their way to a world war this time. They went a few feet.

There are many reasons that one does or does not decide to serve in one of the branches of the arm forces.

Politics can be a huge factor.

Underfunding of schools- No, we pay a lot for indoctrination but the schools are failures.

Reasons why people don’t want to join:

Fat and over vaccinated-yes

RATs running things-Yes

RATs starting wars everywhere-Yes

Regime forcing deadly vaxes-Yes

Regime disrespect for troops-Yes

Woke and gay crap-Yes

Oh, and people don’t want to fight for the New World Order and too many countries in NATO who don’t pull their weight increasing chances of war.

Two things I never wanted to do... be a Recruiter or a Drill Sgt. Both can be Career ending with little you can do to prevent.

My late wife was a Drill Sgt and it helped her career.

I used to recommend young folks join the military to get a start.

No more.

Too much of a chance for becoming cannon fodder in a stupid war started by democrats who hate the military and those who would join it.

They want us dead.

Then there's the woke BS.

I’m not even sure if we are the good guys anymore. I don’t mean conservatives and their traditional American values. I mean the “New” America and New military: IMG-9041

Looks to be the LAST ATTEMPT at avoiding The Draft. But I want The Draft, at least if they sweep up all Globo-Homo supporting kids. Perhaps it will help them grow up a bit, to learn what it’s like to have to fight against a modern army.

I remember one time in boot camp the Chief asked us How many of you want to go back and kill your recruiter?

I’ll make 3 observations:

1. I suspect some confidential study was done, and the 2024 numbers already look dismal on recruitment...thus generating a serious reaction within the Pentagon circle.

2. I think the Pentagon circle reviewed options and upping the enlistment bonus to $100,000 (presently at $50,000) was a no-go. They opted for persuasion...to have a bigger effect.

3. This sudden recruitment ‘fix’ will go into 2024, and if it fails...I’d expect a much larger last-minute solution in November 2024 to occur. This goes across the board to active-duty and Nat’l Guard levels. As bad as things are here in November 2023...I expect them to be worse in twelve months.

What all of this means? Two things...more tasks farmed out to contractor-companies (running logistics, chow-hall management, and post-engineering functions). Second, acceptance of marginally intelligent ‘kids’ and their inability to adjust to military lifestyles.

Only about 25% of kids between 17 and 30 are fit...mentally and physically...to serve the Armed Forces.

I am sure this has nothing to do with it:
