Palestinian flags and poster boards were being held high in downtown Sarasota as dozens of protestors called for an end to the bombings in Gaza.
“They’re just innocent people. They are regular people. They want to live,” says protester Nissrine Tarik.
She describes Israel’s retaliation for Hama’s October 7th attack as barbaric.
“We wouldn’t even want this to happen to animals. Let alone people. These are human beings,” she says.
According to the Associated Press, 1,400 people have been killed in Israel, while the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza says the Palestinian death toll has climbed to over 9,000.
Tarik questions why Israel isn’t carrying out more missions isolated for Hamas militants and instead leaving many civilians stuck in the crossfire.
“When we have school shootings, do we drop a bomb on the school when the shooter is inside,” she asks.
But the protestors also acknowledged Israel’s desire for retribution.
“I’m not naïve, I see that Israel has the right to defend itself, I just think the extent to which they are going about ‘defending themselves’ is too extreme,” says Dania Itraish, another protester at the rally.
She says the conditions Palestinian’s have been living in under Israeli rule makes wars like this much more likely.
“It was a breeding ground for an organization like Hamas to come into fruition,” Itraish says.
An organization local Rabbi Hime Steinmetz describes as evil, saying “At the end of the day, it is a war of light versus darkness. Many people feel that they have an opportunity to shine and bring more light to the community. They don’t want to miss that opportunity.”
He adds the war is going to have a lasting impact.
“The current events have led us to understand that life is not the same as it was 5 years ago or 10 years ago,” says Steinmetz.
Meanwhile, protesters hope for a peaceful end to a bloody war.
“Let’s just pause and talk about it, and hopefully less people will die,” Tarik concludes.
Unconditional Surrender. Nothing less.

Pile of horse manure. Every country that took in Palestinians: Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, ended up in turmoil caused by PLO that set up groups around their countries. They ended up having to remove them, many through war, in order to get their countries back. That's why those countries won't let any of those bastards back in.
How can so many people be so stupid as to believe anything the Palestinians say? I blame it mostly of the government education system. Most Americans are completely uneducated and all they know is what they are told to think by liberal/commie professors and MSNBC. The Palestinians have been offered everything they asked for in the past and still reneged on a deal. They want only one thing, the end of Israel. Anyone who does not know that should become a brain donor since they are obviously not using it. God is watching and those who do not stand with Israel will pay a heavy price.
Regards,
Islam and the west are incompatible. Islam must leave.
Israel did not rule over Gaza. It was just a little taste of a two state solution. The “Palestinians” selected Hamas to rule over them. Hamas was only interested in killing Jews and the “Palestinian” people knew that.
The Hamas led people made so many terrorist incursions into Israel that the peace seeking people of Israel built a fence just outside of Gaza to monitor movement and reduce the violence.
Israel helped supply electricity, water, fuel and food to the people of Gaza, but those people used those gracious gifts and directed all of their effort into building a war machine. They had no interest in supplying themselves in what could arguably be some of the most prime real estate on the planet.
Why are all of the civilian casualties children? It has a propaganda effect, but when someone tells you who they are, listen. They are telling you that every “Palestinian” is Hamas. All they want to do is kill the Jews.
Their leaders are also telling us they want “ two, three, four more October 7ths,, as many as it takes”. Believe what they are telling you.
I believe it was the great Thomas Sowell who once admonished someone for ‘starting in the middle of the story’. The pinheads marching in support of Gaza (I’ll admit some are just there for the chicks) are starting on October 8th and are bypassing decades of sheer violence leading up to it.
When confronted with this, these same paragons of the pathetic say “but whatabout 1947.” The answer is simple. The Jews lived on that land 3000 years ago. There are written records and artifacts to prove it. The Palestinians were no where to be seen.
“But whatabout the Jews were driven out of there by the Romans” schlick? The Jews of Judaea were sold into slavery and the resultant land was called Palestine.
The League of Nations pronounced a strip of that land called Israel (talk about reparations) in 1947 and the Jews from around the world resettled on a small piece of their ancient land. Nearly all of the land was transferred through legal purchase by the returning Jews.
The people of Israel, of which about 25% are Arab, fought battling invaders and reclaimed even more of their land. At least no one was sold into slavery as a result. That should stick a for in that false canard of an argument.
I have been to Israel many times as a result of my work. If have met and became friends with many Israelis. Some were Hebrew. Some were Christian. Many did not wear their religion on their sleeve.
But one thing always struck me as strange. It was such a beautiful oasis in the middle of desert land with some of the best fruits and vegetables in the world. Flying out, why was it so desolate as you traveled south from Jaffa? There was no longer a beautiful beach along the clear waters of the Mediterranean. Now I know.
These ignorant souls marching through the streets, being led on by some of the most vile schemers, should look farther than the BLM/Antifa/commie crap they are being fed on tik-tok and maybe just go back to daddy’s basement and chew on another Hot Pocket. They are truly on the wrong side of this.
EC
There is a reason and a purpose why these invaders were allowed into our country, its for this purpose and more, you wait and see who was allowed through the southern open border, Americas is at war and our government is telling us otherwise for a reason
I hope old Joe and his cronies (includes Barrack) will be around to feel the consequences of their actions. These people are lower than worms.
That will only kick the can down the road.
Genghis Khan knew how to deal with Muslims.
Every true believer of Islam is a sleeper cell.
Should they decide to do as the Holy Quran commands them, either in groups or individually, it won't be pretty.
Westerners who have read the print versions of the Holy Quran sold in the USA in the last few decades believe Islam is a "religion of peace" because the translations have been radically changed to make it appear to be.
Anyone who reads this will understand what is going on and what will be going on.
He got as far as Baghdad before issues back home stopped his advance. Pity he failed to make it to Mecca. To add insult to Injury a lot of his people converted to Islam afterwards! With over a billion souls infected by this evil mind virus the humane solution should be to simply cut them off. No trade , no visits, you stay in your stinking hell holes unless you ditch that awful Religion. Make a special exception for Islam in the Constitution.
SARASOTA???? I LIVE HERE.....THEY BETTER NOT RUIN ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL CITY!
Oh man! I will be praying for you and for Sarasota. I live in north Florida. I use to live in Tampa. I would hate to see this crap come to our state!
BINGO. NONE of those other BLOODTHIRSTY MUSLIMS want the BLOODTHIRSTYEST PALIS in their countries !
I’m still trying to wrap my brain around all of this starting to happen directly on the heels of Israel being invaded and 1400 people tortured raped and slaughtered.
This is … sick.
Unconditional Surrender. Nothing less.
Fools! This isn’t about Palestinians...it’s about sadistic beasts Hamas. People are sooo stupid!
Almost all Palestinians support Hamas.
