I have long believed that the Red States should get together and create an alternative to ACH.

ACH is a private company, controlled by Woke big banks, and there is always the danger that it would be used to target conservatives in the same way as other payments systems like Paypal and the credit card cos.

What this shows is that the Regime could use ACH to shut down the payment system for conservatives, or specific banks, or entire States.

Just because you bank at a State chartered bank - it wouldn’t matter. No ACH, no payments.

In addition, it is disaster recovery from a Regime institution which is increasingly incompetent and failure prone.

I use Go2Bank. They have a great APP where You can TURN OFF/ON Your Credit/Debit Card when You want to. The only Bank I know of that has that option. Every other bank wants to Cancel the Card and Issue a new one. Very reasonable Bank. You can do all the usual stuff the rest of the banks have and Direct Deposit is usually 2 days early and .gov (SS/SSDI/Etc) Direct Deposit is 4 days early. $200 overdraft protection for 24 hours at no charge and only $15 per Item if You miss the 24 hours deadline as long as You have the Direct Deposit setup. No fee ATM’s. Up to 5 Savings Vaults as they call them that You can setup with the APP in seconds and move $$ in/out/around with no hassles and 4.5% Interest 4.50% APY, paid Quarterly.

It's 6:30 PM on Friday. Still no paycheck deposit. Normally occurs mid-morning on Wednesday. Chase, JP Morgan and Wells Fargo were the primary affected banks. 900,000 deposits failed.

Thank you for your update. So very sorry you are going through this debacle. Truist and Bank of America are also affected. The problem is industry-wide.

I've been reviewing the literature this evening. Very few stories about this under-reported event. Nothing in the WSJ (Business headline: Mark Zuckerberg undergoes knee surgery). CNN and CNBC have a briefs about it online.

Conjecture: It appears there is a lid on the story. Perhaps an effort to avoid panic bank runs.

I just received notice from my payroll department that I'm identified as one of the employees still affected. Payroll works via Citibank for the ACH and Citibank says they can not reprocess the files that were sent for deposit on Nov 3rd. Payroll is working on a re-send that will not deposit until Nov 6th at the earliest. I'm already having fallout with an auto-transfer to a property tax saving account rejected for insufficient funds. I pay for my internet service with an auto debit that occurs typically on the 6th of each month. Things I planned to do this weekend will be canceled. It's all the more fun with a tenant in my rental who is now 3 months behind on rent. She will be getting an eviction notice next week.

I anticipate there will be reversals and reimbursement for late fees and overdrafts due to auto-payments. However, the time and effort it will take to sort through it all, along with the added stress, should have some value attached to it too. Stay strong and persevere.

I'm old enough to remember when payday was getting an actual envelope from my company with my paycheck and paystub inside.

I would then have to go to a bank, fill out a deposit slip for my checking account (so I could pay my bills by writing checks and mailing them), stand in line, and cash my check while simultaneously depositing much of it into my checking account. I'd take the rest in cash and maybe deposit some of it into my savings account (I'd need my passbook for that).

The pay stub would get filed back at home. I still have a shoebox in my attic full of pay stubs from the 1970s and 1980s. Not sure why I keep them.

My paychecks in 1972 were paper. I had to fill out a deposit slip and sit in the line of cars going to the drive up service window. The check and deposit slip went in a pneumatic tube and off to the teller. It wasn't fun smelling all the car exhaust for 30 to 40 minutes on payday. By 1981, my company payroll was able to do direct deposit. It was more convenient.

Today, I use my cellphone to perform a mobile deposit of a paper check using the camera. Select the target account, peck in the amount of the check, endorse with "mobile deposit only to your_bank_name, photograph front and back and submit. Easier than driving to the bank and doing the deposit in person or via the ATM.

Banking System Glitch Delays 900,000 Payments on a Big Pay Day

I have a worse problem.
Due to the stress and chaos that is now my life, some things are autopay through PayPal because honestly I’m too mentally frazzled to keep track otherwise.
A now unused bank account was hacked two months ago and the bank supposedly fixed it but left my records up in my online app so I could switch everything over to a new account.
I’m like $400 plus in the hole in that account because without my knowledge or input PayPal switched EVERYTHING over to “ use PayPal balance first/then bank account “.
(That is a box YOU have t intentionally select and I did NOT)
I have not had a PayPal balance in way over a year and they keep hitting me for $5 every day and sometimes $35
I am NOT adding money to that dead account.
However PayPal sent me an email saying they’d “transferred “ money to cover whatever and I did not authorize that anymore than I did switching ALL the autopay stuff to “use PayPal balance first”.

I cannot get them on the damn phone OR change the one autopay thing causing all this.

My baby boy lost his battle with cancer and died in my arms October 26 and I just can’t take anymore.

I’m literally to the “ go ahead and destroy me once and for all” point now

Every day I step into yet another deeper circle of Hell and I’m just giving up.
