Nothing to see here...just tighten that belt a bit...
Same.
There is always the old standby: Looting
Well Iran and Ukraine really needed the funding. That's money that will never be recovered.
Apologies aren't worth the electrons used to send the emails when bill payments start bouncing. What a mess!
I hope this is resolved for you very quickly. Please keep us updated.
Cash is needed for Colt 45 and Newports.
This is a “first of the month” Friday. There are going to be a lot of upset people when that check is not credited to their account today. I hope the automatic debits are not processed in the meantime.
I thought Brandon was banning menthols (or is it delayed until after the election) ?
hmmmmm
“And all those thieving money grubbing big bank A$$}{0£€$ are rubbing their hands together at the prospect of all the overdraft fees they will try to charge customers that have autopay for their bills setup...”
Which is exactly why I do not have automatic debits coming from my account. I pay my bills at the first of the month, but have reminders on my calendar as to the due dates in case my memory fails me and I forget one. I also have over-draft protection to move money from savings in case of an overdraft but that’s a $12.00 fee and I don’t want to pay that either. So, I try to keep a thousand dollar “buffer” sitting in my checking account. But, a lot of people can’t do that, especially with the costs of everything still sky-rocketing (ignore the media—prices are still going up).
There is going to be a lot of pissed off people today as they stop at the grocery store on the way home from work and find their card is declined.
Nope, they are running for their lawyers and tech support. Many states have very nasty laws for businesses that do not pay out owed wages on the designated pay day, with what is in this article those businesses are going to turnaround and put the blame and all costs on the banks. They will be trying to get their tech support to fix this before they have to pay triple the lost paychecks and court costs to all the employees whose paychecks got lost.

...File a Lawsuit: If a court finds that wages were withheld in violation of the Maryland Wage Payment Law and not as a result of a bona fide dispute, the court may award damages of up to three times the amount of the unpaid wage plus attorney fees...
“All of ze monies ist ours.”
Clue: Never, EVER use auto-pay.
My pay went into my credit union checking account late last night on schedule.
I worked at Wells Fargo previously .
In February 2019 they had a huge outage that affected all lines of business.
It was blamed on a fire at a server location .
Many people didn’t believe that as it affected all lines of business and there would be multiple backups.
Nothing ever came out indicating otherwise, but people were suspicious something nefarious had happened.

I maintain that the next economic super depression will occur when some insouciant clerk in some obscure agency back office substitutes an “L” instead of a dotted “i” and thus collapses the system. Things are that tightly knitted now!
