The GOP-led House passed a Department of the Interior and environmental funding bill on Friday.

The bill, formally titled the "Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2024" includes the budget for the Environmental Protection Agency.

The legislation passed 213-203, marking the 7th of 12 appropriations bills to fund the federal government for fiscal 2024 that the House has passed so far.

Congress has until Nov. 17 to pass a spending bill that funds government operations to avoid a shutdown.

Isn't it funny how the new guy gets things done within a week.

Amazing how much you can get done when your goal isn't to just to bide time until September 30th, then November 17th, then December 15th (thereabouts), then the following year.

Johnson is VERY organized. He's a 1,2,3....A,B,C... man...And he's obviously getting a lot of help learning the ropes of his position.

Schumer must be seething. Cuz either he supports Israel or he doesn't.

They should merge the EPA, Interior, and Energy into a new Dept. of Natural Resources. Like it or not, there has to be some form of federal oversight of the environment and resources, but they should consolidate the departments into one.

"Democratic leaders opposed the legislation, in part, because it would reduce the EPA's budget."
