The GOP-led House passed a Department of the Interior and environmental funding bill on Friday.
The bill, formally titled the "Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2024" includes the budget for the Environmental Protection Agency.
The legislation passed 213-203, marking the 7th of 12 appropriations bills to fund the federal government for fiscal 2024 that the House has passed so far.
Congress has until Nov. 17 to pass a spending bill that funds government operations to avoid a shutdown.

Amazing how much you can get done when your goal isn't to just to bide time until September 30th, then November 17th, then December 15th (thereabouts), then the following year.
Each agency appropriations bills? No way!?
Wish they zeroed out their budget though.
The problem is that they funded these agencies.

EPA should not exist.
Most of the departments shouldn’t exist anymore. EPA, FBI, IRS...
They should merge the EPA, Interior, and Energy into a new Dept. of Natural Resources. Like it or not, there has to be some form of federal oversight of the environment and resources, but they should consolidate the departments into one.
‘...EPA should not exist...”
And neither should the cretins in those departments. /spit
AMEN
THEY ALSO SHOULD CLEAN OUT ALL THE SIERRA CLUB EMPLOYEES
House seems to be functioning quite well with the new guy. Sure makes McCarthy look bad.
