Poll: Donald Trump, Marsha Blackburn Hold Commanding Leads over Democrats in Tennessee

Former President Donald Trump and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) have significant leads over their opponents in Tennessee in hypothetical 2024 general election match-ups, according to a Fabrizio, Lee & Associates poll conducted for Blackburn’s campaign.

A polling memo shared by Blackburn’s campaign shows that 58 percent of likely general election voters in Tennessee would support Trump in a race against President Joe Biden. Biden sits 23 points behind Trump at 35 percent, with another 7 percent undecided.

Of the respondents, 51 percent say they are “definitely” voting for Trump, while 7 percent say they “probably” would. Conversely, 31 percent would “definitely” vote for Biden, and 4 percent “probably” would.

Trump won the state with nearly 61 percent support in 2020, while Biden took 38 percent of the vote.

Blackburn leads State Rep. Gloria Johnson (D-90) by similar margins. Blackburn holds 56 percent support among the electorate, with 46 percent saying they “definitely” vote for her reelection and 10 percent saying they “probably” would.

Johnson sits 20 points back with 36 percent support in the hypothetical match-up. This includes 30 percent who would “definitely’ support her and six percent who “probably” would.

“It would take a gargantuan effort from Johnson to even have a chance to knock off the popular incumbent,” the polling outfit wrote in a memo to Blackburn’s campaign.

Johnson was nearly expelled from the Tennessee State House after she and two other Democrats staged a protest on the state floor chamber over gun violence. The state legislature held a vote to expel her, but she kept her seat by one vote.

In 2018, Blackburn garnered nearly 55 percent of the vote on her way to a victory over former Gov. Phil Bredesen (D-TN), who had almost 44 percent.

I’ll never vote for Blackburn after she voted to certify the fraudulent election in 2021. I despise her, and I believe there are other Tennesseans here who feel the same. She can go to hell.

All Republicans require an uncontested 25% lead in the real world in order to have the slightest chance to overcome democrat and globalist fraud and shenanigans

I agree with you. Blackburn is a vapid lightweight, even by Republican standards. She talks a lot but says nothing of any substance and never commits to doing anything specific.

If Republicans had any convictions and actually stood for something they would easily beat their Democrat opponents.

Its hard to win when you’re always playing defense.

You would vote for the homo loving Johnson?

Masha may not be perfect but she’s heads over tails better than Johnson on all topics cherished by Tenn conservatives.

"I’ll never vote for Blackburn after she voted to certify the fraudulent election in 2021."

I have the VoteView database which shows every vote every cast in Congress (House and Senate) all the way back to the days of George Washington, and I can't find that particular vote.

Do you happen to know of a link which shows how the Senate voted on that issue?

She was actually opposed to voting for certification until the “insurrection,” she then changed her vote to certify Biden. So, was she opposed to certification for a real suspicion of election fraud, or was it for political expediency? And since she voted to certify Biden, did she do it because she thought he won, or did she purposely conspire to cause the damage we are experiencing today?

Nevermind. Apparently that vote was this one:

"On the Objection" (no bill name or number or even a description of what was being objected to).

I wonder if Blackburn has ever been sorry she changed her original decision to reject Biden’s electors, and turned-tail to accept them on January 6th. She should apologize for it. Rand Paul too.

Hopefully Blackburn will stomp Johnson into a mudhole. There are parts of Memphis, Jackson, Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga that make Long Beach, California, appear conservative.

Well, in a binary general election , if you don’t vote for the Republican, the implication is that you would support the Democrat instead. Clarify for us if you like.

I don’t know the answer to any of those questions. My theory is ...

She probably planned to vote to NOT certify at first.

Then the crowd went to the Capitol.

It was choreographed to occur just when the voting started to disrupt, interrupt, and shut down the proceedings — and scare the pols. (WHO, ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH, COULDN’T SEE EXACTLY WHAT WAS HAPPENING? We did.)

She believed it was an actual insurrection by MAGA voters, including her own constituents.

So she had a knee-jerk emotional response against MAGA and voted to certify, probably to punish us. She decided in a skinny minute without even TRYING to investigate or even use simple logic.

The bottom line for me is that she actually believed we would do something like that!!! She does not need to represent us if she has no trust in our integrity. She’s politically tone deaf, and has disdain for her constituents. Her vote (Hagerty’s, too) helped install a lying, thieving, perverted, retarded faker in the White House.

The End.

I’m with MayflowerMadam as another Tennessean that won’t vote for Blackburn. I’ll skip her section.

So you’re not voting at all?

Like those anti Trumpers Republicans who wouldn’t vote for Trump, they effectively voted in Biden.

Congratulations.
