U.S. Aid to Syria
USAID ^ | November 1, 2033 | USAID

Posted on 11/01/2023 11:54:13 AM PDT by ConservativeInPA

The Syrian conflict is one of the largest and most complex humanitarian crises of our time. According to the United Nations, more than 12 million people are displaced within Syria or have fled to neighboring countries. More than 15.5 million people are in need of humanitarian aid. Whereas the Assad regime has waged an unrelenting campaign of bloodshed and violence against its own people for over a decade, the emergence of ISIS and other malign actors worsened the protracted crisis. The United States, through USAID and the Department of State, continues to work through all possible channels to deliver aid to those in need in Syria, including through the United Nations, international and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and local Syrian organizations. Since the start of the crisis in 2011, the United States has provided more than $14.1 billion in humanitarian assistance and $1.3 billion in stabilization assistance to help Syrians in need, reflecting the steadfast commitment of the United States to providing lifesaving support to the people of Syria impacted by conflict both inside Syria and throughout the region. USAID is responding with both immediate, life-saving, humanitarian assistance across Syria and the region, as well as stabilization assistance in non-regime held parts of Syria to sustainably address the underlying causes of human suffering. USAID stabilization programs support a variety of sectors, including local governance, essential services, and livelihoods and economic recovery, whereas humanitarian programs are providing lifesaving aid, including emergency food and nutrition, shelter, safe access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and psychosocial support.

Also the greatest refugee flow in Europe since WWII. Thanks Barack and Hillary!

Re: "12 million people are displaced within Syria"

Remind me again why Barack Obama wanted to kill President Assad?

Now I remember - Barack wanted the Islamic Brotherhood to be the dictators in Egypt and Syria.

So we give Syria money, while trying to overthrow Assad.

I hope it works out great just like in Libya.
It was hard to find slaves before NATO bombed the shit out of Libya…
