Video and still images shows people searching for survivors under rubble
Rescuers searched for survivors in the rubble of a building at the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza on Tuesday after Israeli airstrikes on the area.
The director of Gaza's Indonesian Hospital, which is located near Jabalia, told Al Jazeera more than 50 Palestinians were killed and 150 wounded in the airstrikes.
Video and still images depicted Palestinians searching for people potentially alive and trapped under debris and rubble.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military...
Exactly. They look like military aged males to me. Probably terrorists.
Every man in north Gaza can reasonably be presumed to be a hostile combatant by now. The absence of uniforms is an aggravating factor rather than a restraint under the so-called "law of war".
Not that it really matters. The "law of war" is written by the victors and imposed upon the vanquished. At best it is a subtle negotiation between rival forces to minimize the cost of war in casualties and collateral damage for both sides.
The only reason for restrictive Rules of Engagement is to allow for the soldiers to possibly go home after the war to wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, and relatives with some chance of fitting back into a life during peacetime.
War is sometimes necessary. War is always horrible. It changes people in unexpected ways, and permanently so. Best we do not become fond of it.
It is a Hamas base. There are no tents. This is not a camp.
