Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) denied that he wears heels inside his boots to appear taller when confronted on the Patrick Bet-David Podcast.
Multiple videos and photos of DeSantis’s footwear have gone viral, as DeSantis has opted for boots on the campaign trail.

In a podcast episode released Monday, Host Bet-David asked DeSantis about a viral TikTok. “What they’re trying to say with this is in your boots, you have heels.”
“No, no, no, no, those are just standard, off-the-rack Lucchese,” DeSantis replied, referencing the luxury boot brand that serves as the official boot of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
DeSantis was asked how tall he is, and he replied, “5’11”.”
“Why don’t you wear tennis shoes and dress shoes?” Bet-David asked.
“I do wear tennis shoes when I work out, yeah,” the governor replied.
“I’ve got a gift for you,” said Bet-David. “I’d love for you to wear; I shop at Ferragamo,” but he was cut off as he revealed a box of dress shoes.
“I don’t accept gifts,” interjected DeSantis. “I can’t accept it, I’m sorry.”

When Trump did or said anything that didn’t come out quite perfect, his enemies seized on that as proof that Trump was unfit to be alive, let alone President. So he mangled and then sent a tweet with misspelled word; must be completely illiterate, right? So he did a helpless little whiney man “I can’t do jack” complaint mimic; must be mocking a cerebral palsy or otherwise physically-challenged specific person, right? So he thought about a cartoon character angry as crap, with red face and swollen body parts and steam coming out of the nose and ears, but confused it with blood and didn’t finish the verbal description; must be commenting on a women’s menstrual cycle, right? So he bragged to a younger, better looking man about his success with women, how he seizes (literally) the prize; must be a rapist, right? (Oh, but be sure to ignore his immediate next words, “They let me!” Oops, not a rape, huh?).
So you people are doing the same to DeSantis. Shameful!
He wears some (silly-looking, to me) boots regularly and likes them, and they have some strange fashionable (to someone, apparently) upsweep on the toes; must be pixie shoes, right? And someone can’t look at a boot and see the heel is about 1 to 1.25 inches thick, not unusual for a boot; must be wearing elevator lifts, 5 inches! Right? (and *this much* is “6 inches, baby”). And he handles an ambush interview and refuses to play along and shuts it down forcefully by not taking a gift; oh, how cringe-y, right?
Give me a break. Take a good look at what you’re doing, and try to get some substance to your arguments.
I’ll be glad for Trump to be President again, but I wouldn’t mind a single bit if it’s DeSantis. He’s smart, confident, knowledgeable, and very effective.

He’s deliberately lying about something simple.

If he’s governor or president, how would you know when he’s telling the truth...

I like that Desantis is wearing Cowboy boots and Lucchese’s aren’t cheap with. Plenty of folks wear Cowboy boots.
