An ultra-woke Bay Area district attorney who has faced repeated accusations of taking the side of criminals over crime victims was the victim of a car burglary this week.
Alameda County, Calif., District Attorney Pamela Price, who has seen an exodus of veteran prosecutors in her 11 months on the job, had her work laptop stolen from a county vehicle parked outside Alameda County Family Justice Center in Oakland on Friday afternoon, cops confirmed to ABC7 News.
According to reports, Price’s bodyguard parked the $90,000 SUV outside while she attended a domestic violence event at the center. When she returned to the vehicle, the windows had been smashed and several items, including her work laptop, were missing.
ABC7 reported Price was told to file a report online if she didn’t want to wait for officers to respond.
She waited at the scene for an hour before giving up and reporting the incident online, an Oakland police department source told the outlet.
Price, a graduate of Yale and Berkeley’s Boalt Law School, was elected to office in November with 53 percent of the vote after pledging to “disrupt” Alameda County’s prosecutorial conventions.
The ultra-liberal DA has made a name for herself in her short tenure, vowing in a leaked internal memo obtained by the Berkeley Scanner to “bring balance back to sentencing and reduce recidivism.”

Sounds like it was not on the Oakland PD priority list.
There is now a squad car permanently posted at the 98th Street gas station to deter smash and grab which was a daily occurrence there. I see them on my way to work every day. Years ago I had my own incident there but it did not go the way the perp expected.
She’s black, Jim.
That’s a great platform. Don’t prosecute crimes = reduced recidivism. It’s genius /s
The vehicle must be a Land Rover.
Karma be a beotch.
> Price’s campaign emphasized changing the system in favor of a more holistic approach… <
I’m not quite sure what that means. But I think I’ll give it a try the next time I’m in trouble.
Traffic cop: You were speeding. I’m going to issue you a $100 fine.
Me: I’d prefer a more holistic approach.
I have to wonder what might be found on her ‘work’ laptop. I’ll bet there are people in Alameda County who’d be interested in looking that laptop over.

Too bad she was not in the vehicle when the windows were smashed.
......”Price has courted controversy over her 11 months in office, including the resignation of two veteran prosecutors and condemnation from constituents for being lax with sentencing guidelines....... The Washington Post
....don’t tell me.....she is Amish, right....? or another kind of “...ish”....? Swedish, Irish, Jewish, Danish, Norwegianish....or something....can’t possibly be of the African persuasion....
Surprising, that as a DA, she was not aware that the police in her neck of the woods do not respond to car break-ins.
A a visit to Oakland a few years back, looked into a nice looking police station on corner - there was no one inside. Apparently, Oakland has a phantom police force.
Payback can be so sweet sometimes.
Her BODYGUARD parked her $90K SUV????
Do I get personal bodyguards too, to protect me from the criminals these hypocrites enable?
If she needs body guards she must be hated by everyone. Probably a good reason too.
Whatever she's doing isn't working if she needs a personal bodyguard.
Surprise, surprise, surprise....
Don’t care, to bad you weren’t there to get roughed up.
Do tell..
It’s possible that when law officers heard about a problem concerning Pamela Price and then stopped to get coffee first.
Did you guys read that??? Woke DA, in a crime ridden city BECAUSE of her POLICIES, and she has a BODYGUARD/CHAUFFEUR parking her car!!!!!! You just can’t make this stuff up...
