Cochise County Supervisor Tom Crosby, who sought to eliminate the use of voting machine tabulators in the 2022 election, delay certification, and conduct a hand count of ballots, received a grand jury summons from Democratic Attorney General Kris Mayes earlier this month. The summons does not indicate what he is being investigated for, but he has tangled with Democratic officials over his concerns about election fraud.
When will Arizona Republicant's recall her? It's been six months, any Arizona office holder can be recalled after that.
The court case against her is still ongoing.
What does Arizona law say? Are counties allowed to pick and choose between a hand count of ballots or machine count?
Usually there has to be a statewide standard for all counties.
Has the smell of totalitarian government to me.
Hang her.
What time, the day before, did Fox News call the election for the Dem?
bttt
I was going to say the same thing, how elections are conducted are a state government responsibility, trying to change that in a single county by a lone supervisor is not going to be allowed.
Think about, what if some Democratic Supervisor decided to start mail in voting without state government approval. It would be chaos to allow each county to set their own election laws.
Does that justify prosecuting the person, absolutely not, if the person continued to violate state law, that person could be removed by the Governor in most cases.
DeSantis in Florida has removed a couple of rogue Prosecuting Attorneys and others.
Is it? Hamadeh asked for a new trial, but “Judge” Lee Jantzen denied that.
Jantzen comes off as a doofus drunk who fumbles everything. The election recounts have actually gone in favor of Hamadeh - the so called margin went from 500 to 280, which is statistical noise compared to the total votes statewide.
Like the governor’s race, there should be a new election mandated. But to not waste time letting a third rate moron try to decide which side will get his favor, it would be easier to just start a recall on all the criminals: Hobbs, Mayes and Fontes.
It’s October now. Lot cooler out on the streets of Phx and Tus, can collect signatures much more comfortably.
Time to recall them all.
That’s nice.
In Cochise County, there’s this thing called the Border. With Mexico.
Currently there are tens of thousands of crimes happening all along that border Every Damn Day. TENS OF THOUSANDS. People smuggling, drug smuggling, Murder, Robbery, Rapes, Assaults...you name it, it’s goin’ down there.
So tell me...why would the so-called “Attorney General” of the State of Arizona be fixated on a political opponent from a border county when that person SHOULD be fixated on the tidal wave of Mexican crime?
More lawlessness coming from the far-left NAZIs. If you don’t say their election was fair, your ass is going to jail. Just like the Nazis used to do it.
Yes. Questioning the Steal will be Wrongthink.
Off to the Gulag with you, Prole.
I understand where the county and border are.
The reason the AG is after the person is because she doesn’t have the authority to override state law, the Supervisor doesn’t deserve to be prosecuted, if they continue to violate state law, then they should be removed by the Governor.
Ask yourself, in this case you support the Supervisor overriding State Law, would you support a Democratic Supervisor overriding state law and institute mail in voting or ballot harvesting or not checking voter ID, I would guess you wouldn’t support a Democrat doing that.
Imagine every county in a state enacting their own voting laws and rules, it would be chaos and would never stand.
It’s hypocritical to support overriding state law when you support the change and not support the same thing when you don’t like the change.
Uh huh.
The effort in Cochise County was initiated in response to widespread reports of ballot theft in all Arizona counties, paid ballot harvesters stuffing large numbers of ballots in drop boxes and other fun things. The games in Maricopa county with Runbeck were not known at that point, but the intentional ballot misprinting was already a big deal by mid-day of the “election”.
Spare me the Concern Trolling about county election officials going off the reservation.
How come the Republican Governor and Legislature before 2022 did nothing to stop this, they could have removed the officials or lobbied to change the laws, they didn’t.
Spare me the, If I don’t like the Law ignore it or override it.
"I am small potatoes. They can be bothered to pay attention to me or come after me."
News Flash to those people: When it comes to lawfare, intended to silence anyone who might come forward to make noise, there is no person too small to persecute.
Spare me the garbled response.
If there are suspicions of games being played with things like Dominion “voting” software, you’re saying that no one has the right to backstop that by a handcount? They’re supposed to just say “we are unable to investigate any allegation of wrongdoing cuz the laws won’t let us”?
As for Dug “Squish” Doocy, the question of Why Didn’t He Do Anything answers itself.
Only if the law allows it or a Judge orders it.
Speaking of garbled responses, using your logic, you probably support a Democrat instituting mail in voting, ballot harvesting, or not requiring voter id, you never answered that question, if it’s okay with you to violate the law for things you support, why is it not okay to violate the law for things you don’t support, violating the law is wrong no matter who does it.
Hell, this is Cochise County. Get the Earps and Doc Holliday to deal with this small matter!
“You tell ’em I’m comin! And hell’s comin’ with me, you hear?”
“Go ahead, skin it! Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.”
“Why, Johnny Ringo, you look like somebody just walked over your grave.”
