The Colorado School district that wanted to ban a student from wearing a Gadsden Flag patch on his bookbag is now the target of a federal lawsuit for its handling of the situation.
In August, Jaiden Rodriguez came under fire at the Vanguard School, part of Harrison School District 2 in Colorado Springs, when the school banned the flag patch before relenting as it became the focus of national attention...
a video made the rounds of social media showing Jaiden’s mother explaining the history of the Revolutionary War flag to a school official who had believed the yellow flag with the snake and the “Don’t Tread On Me” text was linked to slavery.

When the school relented, it said that if there was a complaint from anyone, the patch might be banned again.

Get school programs to deliver to children and they are marxist indoctrination among other things. Teachers themselves get direction from their daily "UNION" correspondence and are Leftists themselves which is why they have no trouble teaching this garbage.

The teachers and administrators should be called out and blamed for the cost to the school district. It is their fault that the budget will take a major hit because of this lawsuit. Of course, it will be the taxpayers who pay but the taxpayers should know who and why.

This is all well and good, but suing government just means that the taxpayers are paying the penalty for the tyranny of their own government. The administrators should be PERSONALLY liable for violating the kid’s rights. That is the only way these government tyrants will ever change their ways.
Zero chance of this succeeding. SCOTUS ruled in the “Bong Hits 4 Jesus” case that students have no First Amendment rights.
How long before the forces of totalitarianism want to change the American flag? Maybe put a fist on it instead of stars.
I would agree....nothing short of lawyer costs, and $125,000 for the college fund. Let the school district either pass a bond situation to pay for their stupidity, or take it out of the teacher budget.
Just watch. The district will argue that the Revolutionary War was racist and triggers minorities even to this day.
The whole state needs a lesson on the first admendment now that they’re trying to take Trump off the ballot. These people are nuts.
