The family said that he had been fitted for some new nearing aids recently and he said he was hearing voices saying some bad stuff.
I guess if it was me, I would have taken those hearing aids out. But thats me.
Theres something weird going on with this one. Some kind of ptsd issue maybe. Dude was a well trained soldier in the past.

I know, that’s what I thought when I heard about the hearing aid excuse. The family obviously knew about it so why didn’t they do something about it? Bizarre.
When I read about him hearing voices, I thought maybe he was being treated for schizophrenia, never mind the hearing aid story-auditory and/or visual hallucinations are common with that particular mental disorder-and those people can be very, very dangerous.
Those who showed really paranoid and violent tendencies used to be pretty much permanently in residence at mental institutions, only visiting family for a few days, under supervision, medicated and where anything that can be a weapon is locked up. It is a terrible mental illness, there is no cure, but now that there are no institutions, those people are out and about-and this carnage is the result of our misplaced kindness...
And based on the timeline reported in the press the shooter must have been extraordinarily skilled. The bar is 10 minutes from the bowling alley, and the entire attack at both places looks like it was over in less than 20 minutes.
The shooter may have only been in the bowling alley and the bar for a couple of minutes each.
Yet another government employee goes on a murder spree. Unfortunately it looks like this guy was an extremely well trained shooter.
