Republicans probing allegations of politicization into the Justice Department's investigation into Hunter Biden are planning to grill two top prosecutors central to their case.
A source familiar confirmed two senior DOJ prosecutors - U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada for the Central District of California and Stuart Goldberg of the Tax Division - are sitting down with House Judiciary Committee staff this week for transcribed interviews in the Hunter Biden probe.
The expected new testimony comes after IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler testified under oath that Hunter Biden received 'special' treatment in the investigation into his financial dealings.
They said that Hunter's tax charges should have been a felony pursued in both California and Washington, D.C., but that political pressures led to the first son's 'sweetheart deal' instead. Hunter's plea deal ended up blowing up in court not long afterward.
Estrada is the Biden-appointed top prosecutor in the California district the whistleblowers alleged tax fraud charges should have been brought against Hunter, but weren't.
DailyMail.com also confirmed last week that Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss will be questioned in Congress behind closed doors on November 7.
Weiss - who is the lead criminal investigator into Hunter Biden's gun and tax crimes - was appointed special counsel in August after the whistleblowers came forward.
Weiss charged Hunter last month with three felony counts related to lying on a federal gun application form while under the influence of drugs. He faces up to 25 years in prison and pleaded not guilty.
The new not guilty plea comes after what Republicans called a 'sweetheart' plea deal - that would have seen Joe Biden's son avoid jail time - collapsed this summer.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) made a sweeping request for more information about the Justice Department’s investigation of the president’s son, Hunter Biden, setting a date for an interview with David Weiss, the special counsel on the matter, while demanding a number of documents related to the ongoing investigation.
Jordan is also asking the Justice Department (DOJ) to turn over a series of documents related to two IRS whistleblowers who claimed the investigation was being mismanaged.
Wake me when someone goes to jail.
They will smirk, avoid answering any question and run out their time with ‘Thank you, Senator Blah Blah, for that question...........”
Oh, and like that corpulent cow who was being questioned in a Senate hearing, will suddenly have to depart for ‘an important meeting’.

BS! If ‘grilled” is not immediately followed with the Congress’ marshals putting you into holding/jail for “I don’t recall”, “don’t think so”; it is a show trial of no merit.
