Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie said the House GOP’s struggle to elect a Speaker is “an embarrassment to the party.”
The House has gone three weeks without a Speaker after eight Republicans joined with Democrats to vote out Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.). Since then, the GOP has been unable to unify around a single candidate. Democrats have remain unified around their leader, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.).
“We’ve gotten through two nominees of the party since Kevin McCarthy, it’s an embarrassment,” Christie said in an interview MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle. “It’s an embarrassment to the party and to the country. And my view is just pick somebody now.”

The speaker problem shows how splintered the party is. No wonder they can be influenced by other democratic politicians, lobbyists, mega businesses, and their own greed.
Ignorance and avarice in politics is a reflection on the majority of the electorate voting for the politicians.

McCarthy adopted the rule so 8 Repubs could oust him with the help of Democrats. McCarthy stupidly trusted Pelosi and Dems ousted him. Now RINOs want Emmer, a McCarthy proxy. So we will get uncontrolled spending and growing deficits.
