Michigan State University (MSU) has issued an apology after an image of Adolf Hitler was displayed on the scoreboard at their football stadium.
The University said that they are “deeply sorry” after a picture of Nazi Hitler was displayed during a pregame quiz at Spartan Stadium on Saturday.
According to the university, the picture, which appeared following a question about Hitler’s birthplace, was part of a routine pregame trivia segment run by a third-party contractor.
MSU Associate Athletic Director Matt Larson said in a written statement that the University has cut ties with the third-party sources and “will implement stronger screening and approval procedures for all video board content in the future.”

Exactly.
I object to the picture of Bruce Springsteen.
Coincidence. Chance. Not meant to be a message. 😏😉
I assume you are correct.
The leader of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party.
Socialist Worker’s Party.
(Probably put a little more crudely than that, but this is a family forum.)
The Brown Scare grows and grows.
AND—ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL.
lol!
It’s a Quiz Channel that’s been around for awhile.
They had no clue it would be played over a JumboTron.
Couldn’t they have put together a video of Michigan State Football highlights over the years and just ran that video instead?
No need to ask. She's a leftist.
It sounds paradoxical, but I'm half convinced that most liberal American Jews are anti Semites.
Then why is Joe Biden pro-Israel?
I am a supporter of Israel but all of the Jewish hypersensitivity is WAAAAAY too much. Someone on this forum even said the random swastika graffiti on a deli was comparable to a Nazi uprising in Germany! Unbelievable!
Bad timing certainly, but this is similar to the surreal humor of the 1970s and might have been appreciated back then.
My god, people are easily offended now...
You may be half convinced, but the word you’re looking for is “nonsensical,” not “paradoxical.”
The picture is obviously meant to ridicule Hitler. But maybe some people who saw it thought it was praising him as a cross-dresser, a man ahead of his time. (Not that there had been no cross-dressers before then.)
He is not. No more than Obama is. It is a facade which is employed as politically required.
Please clarify your point
The thing is, in the 1960s when there were millions of living Nazis, when Speer and Dönitz were out of prison, when the lovable Colonel Klink was a comedy star, when “Springtime for Hitler” was a (comic) Broadway hit - there was kind of this nonsense.
Now, amid a severe and rapidly growing Nazi shortage (the youngest possible NSDAP member is 96 years old - a shortage so profound they have to drag off 95 year old secretaries who worked in a labor camp - we have a huge Brown Scare where a trivia question about Braunau am Inn is going to cost people their jobs.
It’s insane.
