Agreed. They have the capability for self defense, let them use it. I feel the Middle East would be a better, safer place if there had been less treaties and more ass kicking over the last 50 years.
As far as the US getting involved, my philosophy has remained unchanged over the last 50 years:
If you are going to fight a war, fight it. Gloves off, pound them into the stone age, turn their land into a glass parking lot, Do whatever it takes to make sure NO ONE f’s with you for the next 100 years.
The USA can be self-sufficient. We don’t need to buy friends. We should only be concerned with us and ours. We don’t need a global economy to be happy. The only ones wanting a global economy are the ones lining their pockets at someone else’s expense.
