I use X/Twitter. In my opinion, the DeSantis surrogates came out and attacked Trump supporters. The very people they needed to pursuade to switch from Trump to DeSantis. Rather than persuading these voters to switch, they ran them off as not worthy if they were uninformed enough to support Trump. It was childlike.
When MAGA folks pointed this out, they doubled down. Many going for ad hominem attacks just as conservatives face all over social media.
