TEL AVIV, October 20. /TASS/. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas declined to take a telephone call from US President Joe Biden during the latter’s visit to Israel on October 18, Israel's state-run Kan Radio said.

Citing a source in Ramallah, the administrative center of the Palestinian West Bank where Abbas has his office, the news outlet reported that representatives from the Biden administration tried to set up a phone conversation between the two leaders on October 18, but Abbas turned the request down. The radio station clarified that the sides nevertheless remain in contact.

Immediately after his visit to Israel, Biden had been expected to travel to neighboring Jordan for a four-party summit in Amman with Abbas, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah II. However, the meeting was canceled after an airstrike on the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City. According to Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, the summit would not have been able to bring an end to the war in any event.

It’s very telling that the Jordanian summit was cancelled. Incredibly, the Jordanians and Egyptians admit Israel is not responsible for the act. After the US vetoed the UNSC resolution earlier this week, the UN rep from the UAE admitted the Israeli action in Gaza put their participation in the Abraham Accords in jeopardy . I think the main goal of the Iranians (after killing as many Jews as possible) is to destroy the accords or to destroy the leadership of those gulf states who continue to participate.

Your analysis is spot on. In addition, you have to realize why everyone refers to Abbas as “leader of the Palestinians.” He was elected for a term that expired decades ago. Everyone refers to him as leader because they want someone to deal with. But Abbas knows he’s only “leader” because the US focusses money on him. He has no power and leads no one not directly in the US’ pay and he knows it. If he attended any meetings or took any phone calls, he’d be putting himself in danger and he knows that better than the State Department.

Speaking of State, the way these meetings involving the president are, or, rather, were handled is the State Department meets with the relevant leaders ahead of time and arrange the agreements, mutual statements, etc. The protocol droids tell everyone where they’ll stand and who will shake the president’s hand first, second, etc. The president shows up for photos with the relevant leaders to put the public face on things and to cement the prior agreements. Apparently, the White House announced the meetings without any of the real behind the scenes work being done. It was a huge breach of protocol. Horrified that they were being roped into something all the big leaders who count on the other side publicly said they weren’t going. This was a Hillary Clinton level lack of understanding on the part of the WH on how these things work. It was the diplomatic equivalent of falling down on the steps up to Airforce One.

I don’t understand how Abbas is president of Palestine. Their Parliament consists of 132 elected members.Hamas representatives were elected to 74 of them and the PLO filled 50 of them. There were several others. Hamas is the people of Palestine’s choice. Why Abbas.

“ Islam likes Pedos even less than we do.”

Actually it encourages pedophilia.

There was no airstrike on the Gaza Hospital. The home made Hamas rocket struck the hospital parking lot

Last night Senator Warner of Virginia claimed the IDF missile struck the hospital. I couldn’t believe that a US Senator could repeat a baseless charge already discounted and with video proof.

There is a youtube video that shows the home made Hamas rocket propellant is sugar and potassium nitrate. The fuel is widely used by amatuer rocket hobbiests

I remember back during iraq war that One of our soldiers was persecuted by the mi,Italy for shooting and killing an Iraqi who was raping a young boy. Apparently the policy of the army was to ignore it whenever they encountered pedos raping children and women. He didn’t 9bey and was persecuted for getting involved to save the kids life.
