The Conservatives could face wipe out at the next general election if this is repeated
Some say not a bad thing (similar to GOPe, etc) but still quite shocking...
The way I look at it is this is necessary thing to happen i.e wipe out for the Conservative Party hijacked by elitists...
I suppose only then can something better can be reborn from the ashes.

It’s not shocking at all. Out of habit almost, our parties run out of vision and ideas after the third election win or 12-13 years in office, swap leaders, get obsessed with internal battles, start governing only in the interests of the party, and the Great British Public decide to vote for the other lot.
It happened to the Tories under Thatcher (John Major taking over, Back to Basics collided with sex scandals and sleaze).
It then happened in Labour after Blair gave the reins to Gordon Brown.
It could’ve happened to the Tories after Brexit but between Brexit and COVID people decided to give Boris a longer honeymoon.
The people who blame voting shenanigans and our voting system are off their chumps. Voting in general elections here mostly requires manual proof of id against a list of registered voters by household, and it’s done by putting crosses in boxes on sheets of paper. Unlike Florida though the boxes to cross are too big to fall prey to ‘hanging chad’ situations.
Every party plays the voter registration game. They do whatever they can to get the vote out.
The reason they fail is because they are shafting the people whose votes they’re chasing. The Tories aren’t losing because they’re anti immigration, they’re losing because on their watch the uncontrolled immigration flow has gone into the stratosphere.
New Labour with Jack Straw introduced the detention centers for illegal immigrants, and immigration under them was far better regulated.
For the umpteenth time, electronic voting machines are NOT used for elections to the Westminster Parliament. You seem to be obsessed with this, but it’s simply not true. Old-fashioned simple paper ballots, completed by hand and counted by hand in the presence of the candidates and media.
There are many things wrong with politics and the state in the UK. Electoral fraud is not one of them.
UK Parliamentary elections are conducted using a single ballot paper and hand counted.
It’s a single paper because there is only one office (Member of Parliament) being chosen at the election.
Tories don’t deserve to be in power. Like our Republicans, they’ve become a Party about Nothing.

There is also voter ID I think now you need to show a drivers license or passport.
