More failure theater. All of this is just a show for the rubes before Republicans cut a major deal with Democrats to make either McHenry or Jeffries speaker. There is only 1 political party.
Divorce is painful. Conservatives and RINOs need to go their own separate way. The Republican party is dysfunctional. It no longer serves its constituents. No one knows what it stands for anymore.
I wonder if about the breaking scandal on Scalise and 13 anti-Jordan RINO’s who took donations of laundered FTX money. Scalise and these RINOs need to be stripped of their leadership roles.

A press conference might be to clarify how he currently stands on issues he needs to grow support from. Then the vote.

All but 22 seem to have gotten the message.
I haven’t seen it mentioned but there are some surprising YES votes too. One of our locals may as well be a Dem given his voting record yet is supporting Jordan. I suspect that he is not alone.

I still believe these kind of in your face excesses are similar to manias/panics in that we don’t see such extreme behavior except near the end of it.
Somone - I forgot who - wrote that Judge Scalia had once said that he had found a major difference between Democrats and Republicans; the Democrats would do anything to get in power, the Republicans would fight to keep Democrats out of power.
Why would they want to do that? They get more money if they’re not in power and they get most of the trappings without any of the responsibility. Anything goes wrong, they can blame the Dems and fundraise off it.
Some of these holdouts are connected with China money.

That would mean permanent Democrat control of the House.
If we one day want to get powerful, we’ll need to accept the collaboration of : Trumpists, Neocons, Reaganists Patriots, Bushists. All these will have to collaborate one way or the other.
Otherwise, its Democrat control forever.

Moderate Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said Tuesday it was important to him that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is “committed” to linking Israel and Ukraine foreign aid. McCaul is among a number of moderate Republicans who have come around to backing Jordan this week after meetings with the former far-right Freedom Caucus chairman.
“Well, I had a very good conversation with him. I was concerned about national security issues, particularly if we pass an Israeli supplemental national security bill, would Ukraine be included in that?” McCaul told CNN. “And I was assured that he could link the two. Ofc they omit that he has voted against most of the aid.
That news is the only reason put forth that I’ve seen to vote against him.
IMO it shows no case exists.
