“accounting is suspect” - because you misinterpret what you are looking at. If you want actual spending and transfers, its all in the spreadsheet. Open that and look at it.

Nothing is “independent” as per your implication. But if you take this position you have to reject everything, including the national accounts and fiscal reporting of every nation.

And thats just to start. Every census, civil register, scientific data series, corporate P&L and balance sheet, everywhere - to remain consistent on this scale you have to reject ALL data.

Leaving you with nothing but your emotional certainties.

Facts are stubborn things:

“The Kiel Institute, which closely tracks contributions, estimates total European commitments from member states and institutions as of July 2023 to be over $145 billion, nearly double the United States’ total bilateral commitment of almost $77 billion”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yes, and I find it deeply immoral that we have some of us Republicans trying to HIDE these facts. They want to make American citizens believe they are the “only ones” helping Ukraine.
What a grotesque fallacy.

“ What Ukraine gets today is NOT given. It’s lend-lease.”
*******************************************************

Wow, you believe that Ukraine will be paying back lend-lease funds? I’d suggest that you buy as much of that debt as possible for ten cents on the dollar. Then sit back and dream of your forthcoming windfall that will make you fabulously wealthy.

While you’re dreaming, we realists will be laughing at your foolhardiness. SUCKER!

Whats on going is work towards the release of sequestered Russian assets held abroad.

How it will all fall out is speculative at this point.

The reality is the American taxpayer will get the bill, just as we always do. Blackrock isn’t in there because they believe Ukraine will pay the bills they will demand for their services.

Only if Regime insiders start buying that debt at the same time.

Then you know it is going to be paid off at par by the US taxpayer.

Give! Give until it hurts! Then give more!

Give until the money is gone, then pick up a rifle and bayonet and give of yourself. No sacrifice can be too great for your Lord and Savior Voldemort Zelenskyy!!!!

What’s funny is how Biden’s Puppet Masters figured out they could hop along on the Israelis needs and swing another hundred billion more for Ukraine.

Who cares about Zelenski?
I’m thinking about America’s future here.
Russia-Iran-North Korea-China-Cuba-Nicarauga are officially a globalized anti-American Alliance.

If you think letting them destroy our allies Ukraine and Israel will make America a better place... You are fundamentally wrong.

Your comments are not independent from the Russian intelligence services putting out propaganda non-stop

Incorrect.

Quite a bit of the “aid committed” stretches out into the future. That is a much larger figure than “aid received”, if you’d quote your own source honestly.

First, a great deal of that money stretches out into the future, 2027, etc.

2nd, a lot of the money, esp. from the Euro’s, is not in weapons / military support.

3rd, try this comparison on for size: So far, US aid to Ukraine (all forms, on a yearly basis) is running around 0.25% of US GDP (2023 estimate for GDP). In WW2, in 1945, the US spent 40%(!!!) of its GDP on defense expenditures.

4th, Ukraine has reclaimed about 50% of the ground it lost at the beginning of the war.

Progress on the ground this summer was small. That is largely due to US promised weapons’ deliveries being delayed by months, giving Russia time to dig in and harden defenses. That one is on us. OTOH, shaping of the battlefield is looking much better. Russia has lost more ships and a sub (and 2 highly valuable drydocks) in the Black Sea, forcing it to pull back much of the remaining Black Sea Fleet. IF Ukraine gets a reasonable supply of ATACMS, say, 100 in the next 6 months, Ukraine can pretty well cut logistics to Crimea. Then, the game will truly be afoot. (To be mentioned is the auspicious debut of ATACMS a couple days ago. This will force Russia to further pull back air attack resources.) F-16’s will arrive, in modest numbers, next year. That will greatly boost Ukraine’s ability to launch standoff ATG missile attacks. Russian logistics will be under severe strain...

Russia can respond of course, with a massive push toward Kyiv. That should require about 1 million new soldiers. The pressure that puts on Russian resources will be enormous. How much of that pressure Russia can sustain is, IMO, anybody’s guess. Pro-Russians point out to the enormous suffering of Russians in WW2. Pro-Westerners point out to Russia’s exit from Afghanistan.
