Ian Kinsler wasn't repping the Rangers or Astros last night, the former MLB star had a bigger cause on his mind than the ALCS ... the 4x All-Star, who is Jewish, threw out the first pitch wearing a Team Israel jersey.
Kinsler is a special assistant to the Rangers general manager ... and the organization invited him to kick off Game 3 of the American League Championship Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX with the ceremonial first pitch.

Maybe he should have pitched instead of Scherzer.
Maybe
Ridiculous to bring somebody back like that who has been out for a month, at least have him pitch a few innings out of the bullpen before letting him start.
While I agree with his sentiment, bringing politics into a sporting event is not the best course of action.
Seems like we did it after 9/11. Supporting our long-standing ally where 1500 were just slaughtered is not politics it’s smart. Almost every Jew I know is a baseball fan. Never see any hijabs at these games.
Nice touch.
I believe Kinsler is Jewish.
Yes
So, what, ... Koufax was busy?
Looks like he’s jinxed the Rangers, Astros will probably sweep the rest of the series now.
They are certainly on their way...
Yep, once the Astros got the series momentum, it’s theirs to stay.
