you missed it I am not saying anything about his first speech; I am addressing his second one. He should announce emergency and executive orders including building the rest of the wall and repairing what biden undid, and using the states to supplement.

He should re-announce the ban of immigration from shithole/terrorist countries, He should announce a wholesale deportation program. He should announce an anti-cartel initiative with or without mexican assistance as we did against Pancho Villa. He didn’t do that at the first one Einstein and he waited 2.5 years to declare the emergency he defined during his campaign. He had a 10 point immigration plan and needed to work with congress. This time he should act unilaterally under emergency powers.

That’s how stupid I am brainiac.

"Not really a “wall”"

What kind of childish hairsplitting nonsense is that???

What kinds of wall would fit your childish description of "really a wall"?? It was 30 feet high!

Hey, everyone, look what this anti-American anti-Trump Chump '9YearLurker' thinks is "not really a wall"!

has anyone seen a map showing where Biden opened gates, or let wall sections be torn down? I think Trump’s group will have some rework to do also.

The first day of Trump II, the morale of the border patrol will reverse course and be off the hook.

DeSantis needs to stop blaming Trump for things over which he had little control. DeSantis has far better issues against Trump — one of which is Trump’s name calling and personal attacks. How about soft on Disney?

For those who were paying attention, Trump BEGGED Nancy for funding. She told him FU. Trump got funding from the military budget since the wall is part of national security. <>

DeSantis is a LIAR. I was very pro-DeSantis…. no longer.

President Trump didn't get past all the roadblocks thrown his way until 2020, when he was finally able to start building the wall.

DeSantis has a Republican super-majority in Florida, so whatever accomplishments he takes credit for would have happened under any Reputation governor.k

Lots of folks still enthusiastically support DeSantis, to include a few on here and more so on Twitter. Those on Twitter are, in my opinion, insane.

But, DeSantis is nothing more than a media and donor construct. Yes, he’s the Governor. Yet, so many things he gets credit for are a result of the state legislature handing him bill after bill.

DeSantis handled the hurricane response like a pro. The cops, firefighters, EMTs, lineman, construction workers, etc etc etc, have been responding to hurricanes and other natural disasters before DeSantis was born. They have a playbook. They play by it. They know what they’re doing. DeSantis isn’t traveling the state giving orders. He’s just getting his picture taken.

The latest thing with the people in Israel. Project Dynamo was doing the work. DeSantis used taxpayer money to pay for one of the planes. It isn’t like he came up with the plan, got everyone together and is running it.

If you think about it, what’s the one thing he tried to do on his own, the Disney stuff? How’s that working out?

He has the ability to say a lot of things because what he says has nothing behind it. It would be interesting to see how things would be in Florida if the Democrats controlled at least half of it and he was dealing with a bunch of RINOs doing their best to obstruct him.

Wow, DeSantis reveals himself to be dumber than I thought almost every time he speaks. Congress, a bunch of judges, and a bunch of bureaucrats all worked endlessly to thwart any efforts to build the wall. That’s Trump’s fault?

Hey stupid,

It wasn’t President Trump that stopped the wall so you need to correct your statement.

The reason the wall wasn’t completed rest solely with the moderate wing of the Republican House, as such they are no longer entitled to be referred to as moderates. Domestic terrorist is more fitting for the damage they cause so I prefer to label them as the Hamas wing of the Republican party.

The Hamas caucus is more than 20 members and only work for their cause and that cause is unamerican.

Hey “Chump”, I’m not anti-Trump, I am pro-truth. I also easily support Trump over DeSantis (or the other declared candidates).

But for your edification, let me share the following, with inks to official government reports:

“Before Trump’s 2017 inauguration as president, the southern border had about 654 miles of primary barriers and 37 miles of secondary barriers, according to Customs and Border Protection information from an unpublished Jan. 22, 2021, report provided to PolitiFact. By January 2021, there were 706 miles of primary barriers and 70 miles of secondary barriers.

Border barrier construction under Trump
The Customs and Border Protection report says the Trump administration built 52 miles of new primary wall systems and 33 miles of new secondary wall systems where there were none before.

Besides the new miles of border barriers, Trump’s administration also replaced 351 miles of primary barriers and 22 miles of secondary barriers that were smaller and dilapidated.

The 2021 GAO report says Trump completed about 69 miles of new border wall systems. The other miles represent “the installation of wall panels, rather than the completion of the entire wall systems,” the report says.

Experts and observers have said Trump’s replacement barriers shouldn’t be discounted because in many cases the new barriers are superior to the old ones.”

Absolutely correct. It’s just difficult for some people to recognize that Trump did not do what he said he would do, he did not build a wall across the whole border, he did not get Mexico to pay for it. Had he done both we would not be in the current situation.

You anti-Trump Chumps are idiots.

By January 5, 2021, the U.S. had built new or replacement wall along 452 miles (727 km).[184][185][186] On January 12, Trump held remarks at the border wall in Alamo, Texas, after construction of the wall hit a milestone of 450 mi (720 km).[185][187][188][189]

On January 20, U.S. president Joe Biden signed Proclamation 10142, terminating the national emergency and pausing the construction of the wall.[6][15][190] In a letter notifying Congress of the proclamation, Biden wrote that the declaration of a national emergency had been “unwarranted”.[16][191] Before taking office, Biden said he would not remove parts of the wall constructed during the Trump administration, but would protect the border instead with “high-tech capacity” at the “ports of entry”.[192][193] On April 30, the Department of Defense announced that it was canceling all border wall contracts using funding originally allocated for military purposes.[194]

On April 13, Representative Madison Cawthorn introduced the “Donument Act” (which a spokesperson for Cawthorn explained was a portmanteau of the words “Donald” and “monument”), proposing to designate the unfinished wall and 300,000 surrounding acres as a national monument.[195]

On June 11, the Pentagon announced that it would restore $2.2 billion in funding redirected to the wall back to military projects.[196]

In mid-2021, construction began on 13 miles of border wall in Hidalgo County, Texas.[197] By October 2021, several border wall construction contracts had been cancelled and, in some cases, land that was acquired by the government from private property owners via eminent domain, was returned to their owners.[198] On July 28, 2022, the Biden administration announced it would fill four wide gaps in Arizona near Yuma, an area with some of the busiest corridors for illegal crossings.[199]
