Israel had no reason to waste a missle and incur enemy virtue signaling by targeting a real hospital full of real patients. Only two possibilities: (1) the building was loaded with weapons as well as patients; or (2) the strike was accidental, either by Israel or Hamas.

You forgot the third, which is that nothing hit the hospital, and it is essentially undamaged. Based on photographs from the scene today it appears that a small projectile hit the parking lot and started a fire in the parking lot. Some cars were burned, and anyone present at that moment may have been killed or injured, but it is highly unlikely that any significant number of people were killed, and the actual damage is not consistent with any air dropped IDF weapon.

The damage is consistent with an errant missile launch where the booster or a small warhead hit the parking lot.
