I’m sorry to say that Trump’s comments on 10/11/23 in his visit to Club 47 in West Palm Beach, FL, was the first time since Trump appeared on the political stage coming down that golden escalator in June, 2015 that I found myself angry with him. I ended up turning off the speech.
I believe he really blew it, choosing this time to put down Bibi for some seemingly minor slight and also praising Hezbollah and other dictators. I must say that turned me off. Trump blew it IMO.
He’s the only candidate to vote for IMO. I guess everybody’s entitled to blow it once in awhile, but I hope he changes his mind and his tune about the bloody Jihadists and their nasty leaders versus Israel.
While the media and others have portrayed what Trump did as attacks against Netanyahu and support of hezbollah....
Trump was making a statement of fact about hezbollah, and the comments about Netanyahu was more of a message or warning don’t wimp out.
And backing out of a joint, cooperative mission to take out a terrorist, I would not consider to be a minor slight.
Jim, I listened to that speech as well. You are not getting what he was saying.
By saying Hamas is smart, was just acknowledging that they’re not stupid. Are they putting their smarts to good use? NO! They are using any brain power they may have for evil purposes. He’s warning people that when your enemies are smart, you have to be smarter. Lots of evil people are smart. Many criminals are very smart. Look at the evil people who devise ways of breaking into places, robbing banks, art galleries, etc. There are many evil BUT SMART people.
As far as Bibi is concerned, try to keep your first reaction in abeyance. If I’ve learned anything with President Trump, it’s that he is usually onto something before many of us. If President Trump is telling the truth about Bibi, and that actually happened, isn’t that something we should know? If he’s lying (which I don’t think he is) then, yes, he should be pounced on for that. My learned reaction is to just wonder why he told us, and to keep an eye on what transpires regarding Bibi.
I’m not trying to castigate, just hoping to tamp down your reactions a bit so you can stay on board.
President Trump spoke the truth. Israel was sleeping. He gave Bibi a loving kick in the butt as encouraging him not to back down. Go through with the plan.
President Trump stands with Israel. he wants the best for the people. The evil barbarism has to stop.

He was informing us as to Bibi’s true character and I had already heard some things along that line.
As for praising Hezbollah, he most certainly did not.
Saying that someone is SMART is stating a fact, not praising.
But you believe what you wish.
