Children of British-Israeli hostages say relatives were 'gassed, burned, butchered, slaughtered' as at least 100 people travel from the UK to fight Hamas

...

A devastated father who welcomed the news that his eight-year-old daughter had been killed by Hamas terrorists because it was better than being taken hostage was already coping with heartache after losing his wife and the child's mother to cancer just a few years earlier.

Thomas Hand faced an unbearable two-day wait for news about his daughter Emily after Palestinian terrorists stormed their kibbutz at around 7am on Saturday, massacring at least 100 people.

...

Mr Hand broke down in tears as he recounted the moment he was finally told his daughter's body had been found - and said his reaction was one of relief that she had not been kidnapped instead.

Footage from security cameras showed the horrifying moment Hamas gunmen stormed Israel's kibbutz Be'eri, taking hostages and killing at least 100 civilians.

Devastated father Thomas Hand tearfully recalls finding out his eight-year-old daughter was killed by Hamas terrorists

...

Eight-year-old Emily Hand was murdered by Hamas terrorists on Saturday at Kibbutz Be'eri. Her father said he was relieved when he found out his daughter was dead rather than a captive of the Palestinian terrorists who might have tortured her in Gaza

Appalling, and horrifying to learn that the liberals in Israel have succeeded in restricting firearm ownership to merely a select few. It's naive in hindsight, but one had assumed the opposite to be true, considering the photos of armed teachers, etc in Israel.

Now, they seem to attempt a compromise solution to surprise terrorist attacks, procuring 10,000 rifles for use by some sort of "National Security" outfit in the civilian government.

They still miss the point, though...

He was inferring that his 8 year old would have been gang raped by those savages.

Emily would have been Aisha’ age when mohammad (may piss be upon him) married and raped her.

the old saying comes to mind. A conservative is just a liberal who has been mugged.

Sometimes it takes a wake up call to see reason, you just hope you live to learn from your mistakes.

“They still miss the point, though...”

...they certainly do. Or is it on purpose? One only needs 10% brain power to figure that the citizens all need weapons. Trained or not. They aren’t going to kill each and they aren’t going to rob each other. (of course there could be exceptions but I’m sure that’s the minor risk that most of Israelis would take) This is about survival.

Honestly one would think that they, Israel, would still have a reserve stash of old Mausers, Enfields, M1 Carbines, etc, and ammo. Oh yeah, Galils and Uzis, too.

Loan them out to the population until more modern ubiquitous armament can be procured. If not now, when?

Or did they just all get thrown in the scrap pile?

I agree. The citizens of Israel should demand of their government that they all be allowed firearms. Immediately. If the government will be not accede to this, throw them out and elect a government who will. This a matter of survival.

The left (including Muslims) are clinging to the claim that there were no ‘baby beheadings’ or rapes. As though, somehow, we’ll all say “well ok then, it was just self defense”.

This was, imho, worse than 9/11. Maybe not as spectacular but the depravity of various evil acts were more diverse, truly sickening and beyond imagination. I saw video today of clean up teams claiming multiple groups of 10 children had been tied back-to-back and burned alive. No real evidence was shown - but I’d suggest keeping the evidence private, as I could understand, is a mistake.

We know it was a large massacre of men, women, and children. Why we should assume these other horrors aren’t true? It would just be naive and they don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. The assertion that the worst didn’t happen so it was just ‘self defense’ is repugnant. They claim 30,000 kids have been killed by Israeli’s for throwing rocks at tanks is absurd. More likely, kids killed because Hamas launches rockets from schools.

These people are beyond saving. They teach their kids to be martyrs against Jews, that all Jews should die. They have no problem putting their kids into harms way. They don’t call it ‘Pallywood’ for nothing.

My Whole Foods (among many other stores) has a “No Guns Allowed” poster on the door. Walking thru the door with my wife I joked, “if only the sign was bigger”. Some white, wire haired lady who was right there said “yes. Bigger would be effective”. And she was not joking. This is the mentality of a lib.

Liberals are big rule followers, and they figure if it’s a rule, it’ll work.

*** Liberals are big rule followers, and they figure if it’s a rule, it’ll work.***

They only follow the rules they want to follow. Very often, they are total hypocrites.

I think we all understood that without you spelling it out.

The old saying comes to mind. A conservative is just a liberal who has been mugged.

That old saying is wrong.

Once most people have set a belief into their minds, they are extremely resistant to changing them. Even a traumatic experience may not induce changes. People will literally die before accepting perceptions that contradict what they have established as their core beliefs. The usual response to a challenge is to double-down on behavior that is consistent with their core beliefs.

It is not a good bet to count on people learning from experience and changing their minds about anything important. It happens, but it is uncommon.

And "we" have the same limits on our perceptions as "they" do. It is always wise to be cautious and work to maintain awareness of our true situations. It is hard to do that.
