The Israeli government says it has identified and notified the families of 199 people known to be held since the terrorist attack ten days ago.
The number of hostages held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza has been revised upwards from at least 150 as stated last week to 199 today, the Israeli government has said, reports The Times of Israel.
Israel Defence Force (IDF) spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the families of the 199 hostages has been “updated” and that trying to get those taken back is a “top national priority”.

some Americans I’m sure.....
if there was a Republican president, every single msm broadcast would open with -
DAY (fill-in-the-blank) OF HOSTAGE CRISIS!
Then, the water (and all other items like food, fuel, electricity) should have been kept off until ALL hostages are returned safe. Each injured hostage returned is 3 extra days of no water. Each killed hostage is one month extra of no water.
Yep! At every turn, Israel’s answer to every demand should be, “First return the hostages, then we talk”. I don’t care what happens. The ball is in the Arab League’s court. They can pressure Hamas to release them.
I wonder how many of the hostages are peaceniks, socialists, Paleo-apologists, and anti-Israel leftists? I noted that one Kibbutz that was really ravaged was profoundly anti-gun.
That’s remarkable, what with all the bodies that had to be identified first.
Godspeed to those suffering.

Here’s a question:
The bombing of Gaza has been going on for 9+ days now.
Water was turned off.
NOW-—ISRAEL has turned water back on.
SHOULDN’T there be heavy flooding everywhere?
I cannot fathom that water lines got NO damage from the bombs. NOT POSSIBLE
Prayers. Israel, don’t stop fighting until every hostage is released or their bodies recovered.
Also, Hamas has been digging up some of the water pipes to turn the metal into weaponry.
One imagines that if Israel is supplying the water, they also control on their side of the border the shut-off valves to various points in the system.
