“The God of Isaac expresses astonishment that the nations of the world couldn’t care less about the plight of the Jewish people. He is also astounded that most intercessors are not interceding for Israel’s protection, victory and salvation.”
He sees there is no advocate;
HE IS SHOCKED that no one intervenes.
So he takes matters into his own hands;
his desire for justice drives him on.
— Is. 59:16, New English Translation
And he saw that there was no man,
and WONDERED that there was no intercessor:
therefore his arm brought salvation unto him;
and his righteousness, it sustained him.
— Is. 59:16, The Authorized King James
And He seeth that there is no man, And IS ASTONISHED that there is no intercessor, And His own arm giveth salvation to Him, And His righteousness — it sustained Him.
— Is. 59:16, Young’s Literal Translation
This is YHVH speaking through his Prophet; the choice of His descriptions of His assessment of things are His own, so I can’t fathom where you think you get off nitpicking at God’s own testimony about Himself.
