Trump isn’t supporting Bibi now, is he? He may well have been telling the truth, but right now, at THIS moment, it was an unnecessary thing to say in the middle of this nightmare.

How in the world did Israel succumb to a surprise attack?
Who disarmed the Israeli population? (in many cases the Hamas terrorists were sitting ducks from sniper fire from building balconies... except they were not allowed to own guns)
Why for several hours (3+ hours) before contacting the local security forces in the various Kibbutzes? They were not authorized to open their armories and distribute their weapons. Only Kibbutzs that remained unharmed and is the one because where the security officer (a 25 year old girl) disobeyed orders and opened their armory and distributed weapons.
Why were the sensos off on their fences on that Holyday?
Why did they not expect an attack on the 50th anniversary of something?? what a bunch of incompetents, they should have been at high alert!
Why are the ammunitions used in the iron dome interceptors running low?
These are all constructive criticism questions, is these problems are not fixed Israel will really suffer.

What really wounded the spirit of Israelis is the failure of the Israeli security apparatus. It is almost like they allowed this to happen, or they were so overconfident that they forgot that they have neighbors that are evil and constantly plotting and trying to find ways to harm them as badly as they can.
Trump pointing out this failure is not the problem. Their inability to acknowledge this failure as they coddled the terrorists, is a huge problem.

When I was in Nam we were always on high alert around US holidays, esp 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Xmas.. There were usually attacks of various intensity. It’s inexcusable that the Israelis were so complacent.

There are only 2 options as to how this happened...
1) Israeli intelligence failed, MASSIVELY.
or
2) Israeli leadership and intelligence was aware this was going to occur and let it happen.
Now, I am not remotely suggesting the second option is true, but this is black and white, there is absolutely no middle ground here... one of those 2 things is true... and EITHER one of them being true is beyond disturbing.
I had a lot of issues with Bush after 9/11, but immediately afterwards wasn’t the time to bring them up.
There has been no president in recent history who has done more for Israel than Trump. His accomplishments in his last term speak for themselves. Anybody with half a brain can see that.
The RINOs in congress, the RINO presidents (Bush 1 and 2), democrat presidents have not done what Trump did. They were wringing their hands, afraid to upset the arabs.
What Trump said is the truth. We can acknowledge that our enemies are evil and constantly trying to get us. We can acknowledge that THEY ARE SMART and will find loopholes to get at us bad. The first step to protecting ourselves is to acknowledge that our enemies are smart and will find ways to get at us. The next step is to be smarter than them and find ways to protect ourselves.
