MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Four Mid-South pastors, including three from Memphis, and several business owners were indicted Tuesday in alleged schemes to steal thousands of dollars in COVID-19 relief money, officials said.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Western District of Tennessee, they collectively defrauded more than $950,000 from federal programs, including the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL), Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
Officials said they allegedly obtained funds through coronavirus relief programs by using false information on behalf of their businesses or churches and used the money for personal expenses.

The whole COVID thing was and is fraudulent. These are just sacrifical patsies in the den of thieves.
As a pastor - this totally ticks me off in ways I haven’t been upset in a long time. This is “Jesus tossing tables and whipping guys” angry... and is somewhat similar in kind of offense.
Were the pastors trying to implement their version of the prosperity gospel?
If there are any true believers in Christ at those churches they will not suffer much after those “pastors” are gone. Our government is run by idiots. Truly.
Those so called pastors are not true Christians!
This all started under GWB with Hurricane Katrina.
The Left discovered if they created an “emergency”, they could create a slush fund to finance all their activities.
This is how SEIU got much of their funds to go international.
Their private bank is in New Orleans.
I see the obvious commonality of the perps is not mentioned. People not living near Memphis have no idea of the depth of corruption and lawlessness of Memphis’ leaders and majority of citizens.
I’d love to know how much covid money went to DNC campaigns.
