I see that this looks like a video conference. Perhaps the nameplates are turned to face the camera which is on the big screen at the end of the table. But the text on the nameplates would be too small to read on camera.
Also note in the other situation room photos that there are no desktop nameplates with President Trump or Obama. Why in the world would you need a nameplate with your security team in the first place?
