Agree with every word.
My minority status, such as it was, came from being an egghead. The only problem that created for me was a sense of not belonging. There was no bigotry directed toward me per se. I always made friends easily but didn't have any who shared my interests.
I knew early on that I would never find career or social fulfillment in a small town and left at the first opportunity.

The world is an evil dangerous place because unregenerate men are evil and dangerous. We cannot and should not interject ourselves in every fight around the world. However we can secure our own country and borders. We have done neither.
Leftists nihilists within are sympathetic with our enemies because they desire the same goal: overthrow the system (culture, values, ethics, beliefs) Sodomites pursue our children to destruction the same as Islamic terrorists. There is less blood but the end result is similar. How do you unify with Leftist nihilists whose goal is similar to our enemies?

I endorse your call to travel.
My international travels were not far-flung. Nonetheless, they WERE eye-opening. Furthermore, since my travels were chiefly business-related I got a massive cross-section of faiths, cultures, and races. Even in London, I saw protests like I NEVER saw in America. Indeed, I found that drunk Europeans when in Europe REALLY open up after a few cocktails - more so than when drunk in NYC - and could scare a klansman.
Perhaps the BIGGEST lesson I learned when traveling abroad, is how special is America. I loved my travels, but coming back to Newark or JFK made me appreciate America, warts and all. Ironicially, that sentiment was expressed recently to me by (legal) immigrants who, concurrently, also expressed concern for what they saw in election 2020.
But they haven’t left, and neither will I.

The only way to fight Islamic terrorism is to leave a dysfunctional normalcy behind and rediscover what it means to be a nation WORLD fighting for its survival against enemies whose evil is utterly unmitigated…” Like the world did against piracy in the 18th Century.
