I don’t think anyone “wants” the Gaza Strip. Certainly neither Israel nor Egypt wants it. The Strip is a piece of land originally used as a refugee camp after the 1948 war, and was not originally intended to be a permanent settlement. But it became one as the enemies of Israel realized its potential for lunching continued attacks against the new Jewish state. Gaza has long since ceased to be a refugee camp and has evolved into a terrorist enclave with a lot of civilians serving as cover.

Putting the current war aside, and putting Israel’s grabbing of Palestinian land aside, there’s the matter of the Palestinians’ culture, which has existed since ancient times.
Their culture has a strategy of killing people, especially Jews, that don’t deserve to be killed. It’s more than individual emotion, and it is dangerous to the rest of us and to themselves, as they kill their own for behavior that doesn’t deserve death, and they glorify those among them that sacrifice themselves in order to harm innocent people.
If this was the 1950s those unsanitized photos would be on the front page of all the tabloids at the check out stands at the grocery stores. I remember those days and the blood soaked covers with dead bodies.
I posted on Facebook a photo of Japanese soldiers with Chinese babies on their bayonets. Facebook promptly blocked them.
Most people during WWII didn’t believe the early stories about the death camps, until the camps were liberated.
