Apparently it didnt do too well defending. I read it reported a 10-15% intercept rate. Of course it may not be the system inherently, as I also heard reports they ran real low on the ammo for these systems.
He was against the funding mechanism (deficit spending), not the Iron Dome System itself. If he was against the system, he would have said so, as PLENTY of people in Congress oppose openly certain weapons systems - remember “Star Wars”.
The United States should not be funding other country’s militaries.

How much damage was done by their rockets? I had heard most of the killings were done by ground operations.
The story of Iron Dome failure in recent days simply linked to the fact that the terrorists attacked an Iron Dome base in Israel near the Erez crossing to Israel.
This allowed the rockets to have a better chance of hitting Israel.

The missle detection system, Iron Dome, didn’t do a good job of detecting militants on paragliders.
