Ah, yes, of course. I can't do family trees in my head worth a d@mn, I need to see a drawing, and even then I don't know the correct nomenclature for all the relationships except the simple ones.

Oh God help me, no, thank you. :-) My dear departed Mother would revel in such things, and traced our family tree back to before the Revolution (and includes a signer of the Declaration). But I will take a pass, and thank you for the kind offer.

I worked with a relative that I called my uncle.

My wife always corrects me and tells the kids - “He is actually your dad’s first cousin once removed.”

He was 30 years older than me. Uncle seemed more fitting to me. His kids were my age.
