From what I read, the attack was in the SOUTH of Israel. Lebanon is directly NORTH of Israel.
The question was where did the "assault craft to land on the Mediterranean beaches", come from? If they came from a ship in the Mediterranean they could have originated from from Lebanon. But as qaz123 posted above, they could have come from Tunisia, Syria, or Egypt.
