On Friday’s broadcast of Bloomberg’s “The Open,” acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su responded to a question on why the Biden administration is using tax dollars to give wealthy people credits to buy expensive electric cars by stating that they’re trying to create jobs and people support tax credits that help create jobs, and also because there’s a climate crisis.
After Su mentioned the Biden administration’s economic policies, host Jonathan Ferro asked, “Let’s talk about those policies. There is something really peculiar going on at the moment. If you think about what’s happening at the picket line, they have serious concerns about the EV transition and their participation in it, a transition that you are subsidizing. Something really odd from my perspective, and I’d love some clarity from you on it, why is the government offering rich people credits to buy expensive cars?”

We’re doomed.
“We have a recipe for failure!” Why yes, you do.
How moronic. The whole Biden administration thinks like him.
Soviet-style central planning is always a success, right?
BTT
The “climate” nonsense grows bigger and bigger!!!!
“create jobs”
Go see Xi if you have any doubt.
I heard on the news last week that it takes less people to make EVs so this way they can lay off a bunch of union workers and the union workers are up in arms over it.
Trickle down aotumobiles
As a patriotic American, it is my duty to pay federal taxes to support the subsidies that rich people get to buy their Koenigsegg hybrids. (/sarcasm)
Bidenomics.
Give to the rich
Steal from the poor
Get a kickback 10% for the big guy
He steals from the poor
And he gives to the rich
Stupid bitch!
“Liberal logic” has to be one of the great oxymorons of all time. Keep those guillotines sharpened, folks. They’re going to have a lot of use following Bastille USA day - coming soon for our much loathed left.
The recipe is even more complex:
AS of 1-1-2024, buyers of EV’s can get their ‘TAX CREDIT” at the dealerships-—by getting $7500 off the car at the dealerships.
Then-—the dealership has to file paperwork to get the $7500 back.
MORE & MORE PAPERWORK-—with now, the DEALERS CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE....
WHAT IF A PERSON IS RETIRED and their INCOME is too little to require filing a tax return??? MILLIONS of American fall into that category.
NOW-—Imagine that this same retired American has lots of assets they wish to sell to raise $$$$$ to buy an EV.
GOLD
ARTWORK
ANTIQUES
JEWELRY
SPORTS MEMORABILIA
EVEN A DRUG DEALER COULD DO THIS SCAM
LOTS of things that have NO registrations, etc.
IMPOSSIBLE TO TRACE raising these funds.
Same retiree used those funds to buy a new EV.
HE gets the $7500 “credit” at the dealership-——and there is NO income tax filing to match it to at the IRS. (ANY SEARCH MAY take MANY MANY months).
SO NOW-—THERE IS NO TAX RETURN TO match the CREDIT TO-—and the FEDS WILL NOT BE PAYING THE DEALERSHIP.
The dealerships will be out that money.
The New Trickle-Down Economics?
Remember what party she belongs to they train for years to master it.
The woke liberal fools in the Biden administration don’t have a clue about wealth creation. Wealth is created solely when the result of human labor is worth more than the cost of the labor that produced it. Governments only consume wealth; they never produce it.
I can’t believe the stupidity of these people. It hurts!
For how long have we been hearing that doing away with oil and gas will both save the planet and create jobs? Just spend more tax dollars and it will happen all that sooner. Does anyone remember Solyndra? What year was that? 2009 or 2010? I hope you didn’t invest your retirement funds in that company. Oh, never mind. It’s obvious none of you here did because if so you wouldn’t have the money to have a computer or phone to get online.
Idiocracy wasn’t supposed to be a documentary from the year 2030!
