The state pf Black Sea shipping is very relevant to anyone concerned about the feeding of a hungry world and the price to do so. This includes the US, from what I have seen of food prices recently.

Black Sea shipping can be interdicted from shore by antiship missiles. So, again, doesn’t really make that much of a difference other than the ships getting sunk and crews getting killed rather than captured or turned back.
