Ron DeSantis has less money and more problems.
The Florida governor's presidential campaign entered this month with just $5 million in cash available for the primary, a sum that reignites doubts about his solvency, budgeting and ability to gain ground on front-running former President Donald Trump.
The pain is so acute that DeSantis is redeploying aides from his Tallahassee headquarters to Des Moines for the stretch run of a do-or-die Jan. 15 Iowa caucus.
At the end of the second quarter, DeSantis had $6.6 million in primary funds available, according to an NBC News analysis of his last campaign finance filing — roughly $1.6 million more than his campaign says it has now.
Earlier this year, DeSantis and his allies played down the importance of winning Iowa, boasted about spending as much as $200 million through the super PAC and outlined a strategy for winning the race by beating Trump delegate-by-delegate in later-voting states. Now, it's all down to winning Iowa.

So much for FEC regulations saying no coordination between super pacs and candidates....
Didn’t Rob start with the biggest war chest in Republican primary history??
How’d he squander it and end up with less support??
What kind of leader is he?
DeSanctus is performing like a dot com bubble company.
—> it appears the neverbackdown super pac
You inadvertently misspelled “Always Fall Down super pac”
Meatball is a single digit mental midget. If he can’t run his campaign how is he going to run the country?
NOT cheap to house & feed staff in another state,
You go with bottom barrel budget when you must. Motel 6 or transient weekly monthly rate motels and Hardee’s or Carl’s Jr fast food with the in-app specials. Ir microwave staff food themselves from Dollar Generals.
Steel Reserve fortified malt liquor in to 40 oz bottles or Ripple pear wine.
I have made a list of Never Trumper DeSantis loving freepers, but some of them get really mad when I ping them over to threads like this one.
It’s hard to believe this guy was ever a serious candidate.
He got bad advice from people who only wanted to use him to take Trump down.
Well, many of them did almost render this site intolerable with their lies, misrepresentations, insults and attacks on Trump and his supporters here at the beginning of the year..
And because of their actions, I ended up creating a list, too...
lol
How are other candidates managing to squeak by without the largest war chest in R primary history?
Why does Rob continue to drop as he spends money?
Is it his message, or just himself as a candidate?
noun
the phenomenon whereby a person is reluctant to abandon a strategy or course of action because they have invested heavily in it, even when it is clear that abandonment would be more beneficial. "the sunk-cost fallacy creeps into a lot of major financial decisions"
It is stupid to call RDS supporters Nevertrumpers. That is cult talk.
If Trump is unable to run next November, who do you think the RNC will pick as our candidate, if Ron does not run a strong second? Stefanik? Halley? Tim Scott? Mike Pence?
It will NOT be RDS, b/c the deep state loathes him.
Traveling and living high off the hog are why people take jobs working on campaigns, especially when they know the candidate’s name isn’t going to do much for their resume.
There’s plenty of evidence that nevertrumpers get behind and support a candidate, only to use the candidate as a platform to attack Trump from....
Just look at cruz supporters, who, after cruz dropped out, still kept attacking Trump....
Because they were actually nevertrumpers to begin with.
The RNC will never pick another candidate for me to vote for. If it even smells like the GOPe they lose before they slip their creased jeans and fake platform cowboy boots on. Many of US are done with the GOPe and none of their rah rah blue team red team BS will move the needle. Ask DeSantis or any of the other GOPe midgets if they think of these statements as a one off event.
If he needs new staff options, Word has it Kevin McCarthy is looking for a side hussle.
The consultants are making sure they get paid first.
