Ukraine is ‘freaking out’ as McCarthy chaos threatens US aid

After a year and a half of war, Ukraine’s leaders now have a new reason to worry: Mounting political chaos in America is threatening to derail their supply of money and weapons.

Days after lawmakers shelved a vital U.S. plan to send billions of dollars in aid to Kyiv, U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was ousted by his own Republican Party colleagues. Aid to Ukraine was named as one of the reasons.

In Kyiv, officials are at a loss as to what might happen next. Their staunchest military ally suddenly looks unreliable, despite assurances from President Biden and others the U.S. will remain steadfast until Ukraine’s invaders are defeated.

“We are freaking out. For us it is a disaster,” said Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, a senior Ukrainian MP who chairs the committee on the country’s integration with the European Union.

This war was always about the west trying to bring down Russia by outspending them, like Reagan did to the Soviet Union with his “Star Wars” program, the Strategic Defense Initiative.

But Russia is distinctly NOT the Soviet Union. The leftys infected our military, the MIC got bloated and lazy and woke, and we found out the hard war that the Russians can build comparable military hardware for half as much, twice as fast. We have ended up bankrupting ourselves, while Russia’s economy is now thriving.

Sad

So the Ukes will now spill the beans on Biden’s corruption and Biden will do something really stupid and dire.

The US has been unreliable since about 1964

Bay of Pigs was '61. US pulled air cover.

That’s always been the Republicans’ problem. They get outmaneuvered by Demonrats constantly. Most of them live and breathe politics. Case in point was when the GOP decided to replace Sen. Trent Lott as Majority Leader with my Senator, Dr. Bill Frist. Frist was fine, so long as he was a backbencher. He was absolutely clueless as a political leader, and as a result, Dingy Harry Reid became de facto Majority Leader for 2005-07, and Frist presided over the worst Senate losses for the GOP in decades.

This is just the first time a backbencher Republican managed to play the entire Demonrat caucus. Absolute brilliance and absolutely unprecedented. And they fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. If Jordan, Byron Donalds or even President Trump become Speaker next week, if I were a Dem backbencher, I’d want HA-Keem Jeffries’ head on a platter for wrongly dumping a RINO puppet who was delivering on their agenda.

I suspect Ukrainians are either extremely gullible, or dumb as a post, or both.

JFK pulled air cover. A ‘61 President Nixon would’ve unleashed hell on Castro. Too damn late by 1969.

Threaten aid? No, any and all speaker candidates should be clear that aid to Ukraine is over and done with. No more.

Don’t worry.

The aide to Ukraine to defend itself, the West and America’s interests will continue. We will continue to resist the warmongering and colonial expansionism which Russia-China-North Korea-IRAN axis is now in full swing with.

What’s happing now in Congress is just some immature politics going on.
Democrats abused Gaetz naivety and got their Democrat dream fulfilled: getting rid of McCarthy - seen as a too far-right fundamentalist by the Dems.

Zelensky can decide whether to send the rest of his people into the meat grinder or negotiate some terms of peace with Russia.

We may have witnessed the Washington Generals winning a game. At least we won one time.

This is what the Democrats are doing to us, typically. Too easy.

” “We are interested in getting things sorted out so American democracy can function, and so we can restore the bipartisan consensus on supporting their own national interest by supporting Ukraine.”

Silly girl, our democratic institutions functioned as designed. Because a growing majority of Americans don’t believe US interests and Ukrainian interest are the same.

MANY of us believe US interests are best served by doing nothing and looking the other way while your historical master takes you back.

What chaos? That was a procedural move done within the well established rules of the house. A new speaker will be elected in time and until then the business of the house will continue.
