Trump has already insulted away any notion of party unity.
When he insults a competing candidate, he insults the candidates supporters, they feel this and resent this, and that is non-recoverable. Human nature.

It is not in the best interest of DJT at this time to become Speaker.
Lawrence O’Donnell and Donny Deutsch would have to be committed to a mental institution if DJT was elected Speaker.
Trump would provide leadership which has been lacking. If the House Republicans want to raise money the right way and be popular, Trump will show them the way. Impeachment and investigations of election fraud would get done under Trump. Trump gets results. Also, I don’t think a judge can gag the Speaker of the House from speaking in the House!
