There are too many RINOs in the house who hate president Trump and would never vote for him under any circumstances. It’s a dead issue.

Anyone taking the Speaker job now would be a fool.
I don’t think President Trump would fall for the trap of spending the next year at the mercy of any six or so RINOs in Congress clowning him, and I don’t think he’d get the votes to win the speakership.
That said, it would be a remarkably daring end run for Trump to get around all of his current legal issues, especially if one of the judges attempts to impose a gag order to keep Trump silent during the campaign.
Optimally, he could agree to take the job on a temporary basis because the publicity would be over the top, and then lobby for a successor (an “apprentice” if you will) be built up as a unifier in Congress before the backstabbers get enough support to get to him.
Trump in the Speaker’s chair during the State of the Union would be priceless.

Don't you know? The plan is to make President Trump the Speaker. Then they Impeach both pResident Speed bump and Bobbie Marley, send them packing, for President Trump to be sworn in so he would be the incumbent for his next term.
