Former President Donald Trump slammed Republican infighting Tuesday as some House Republicans banded with Democrats to oust Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from the speakership.
Ahead of the vote to oust McCarthy, Trump posted on Truth Social, saying that Republicans should focus on fighting the "Radical Left Democrats who are destroying our Country."
"Why is it that Republicans are always fighting among themselves, why aren’t they fighting the Radical Left Democrats who are destroying our Country?" Trump posted.
Trump has been a supporter of McCarthy for House speaker, backing him in January during his prolonged fight for the speakership. House Democrats and eight Republicans voted in favor of Rep. Matt Gaetz's (R-FL) motion to vacate the speakership. Gaetz has been a fierce supporter of Trump.
Gaetz accused McCarthy of making a "Ukraine deal with Democrats" to pass aid for the country at a later date, and this was one of the main reasons he brought forward a motion to vacate the speakership.

Will he support McCarthy, who he originally endorsed and supported for Speaker? To do that, now, he would have to throw his #1 supporter in Congress, Gaetz, under the bus, and come out in favor of the bloated budgets and Ukraine funding Gaetz was able to block.

Listened to the Hannity on the way home and he was crying about Republicans fighting each other. Then he began to fight the Republicans over the ouster.
Listening to Levin, and he is also fighting the Republicans. amd ransacking his vocabulary of vile terms to call them. He just asked why anyone would vote with Jefferies. Well, McCarthy did, plenty times.
Everyone must have forgotten the two year deal McCarthy cut with the democrats.

It’s a good question, although in this case all MacCarthy had to do to keep his job was to not agree to any side deals with the Democrats, as he promised.
