Ivanka Trump’s penthouse value differed from how it was reported on financial docs, ex-Prez’s accountant testifies

The purported value of Ivanka Trump’s Park Avenue penthouse came under scrutiny this week during testimony at trial in the New York attorney general’s $250 million civil fraud case against the former president.

Donald Bender, a former accountant for Donald Trump at the accounting firm Mazars USA, testified in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday that he saw errors between the value listed for the posh pad on financial documents and its potential sale price.

Bender explained from the witness stand that, while he wasn’t in charge of auditing the company financials, he “from time to time” would tell Trump Organization officials that there were discrepancies on company financial documents, according to a CNN report.

Gee was it listed at Cost and not at Market Rate? Market Rate moves and is subject to... Dare I say it, opinion! While Cost is subject to Facts!

That's so true. The upgrades is what new owners usually replace... or demand a price break on.

I am an accountant. Although I may know a thing or two about valuations of property, I could never be qualified as a witness when it comes to valuations. There are qualifications that must be met and my accounting degree is not one of them.

My law firm represents many municipalities when sued to contest the real property tax. Both sides must submit an appraisal prepared by an appraiser licensed by the state. The educational and licensing requirements are rigorous. And yet, two highly qualified appraisers often submit appraisals for the same property that differ by millions of dollars. Neither is lying or committing fraud; rather, they have legitimately reached different conclusions based upon the many subjective variables that are inherent to any appraisal.

Ha ha! No rankling, you’re all good!
The photo was well placed. I don’t dislike her, just didn’t like her influence in the White House. I think she contributed to a few of Daddy’s poorer decisions.

Remember how Bernie Sander’s wife lined up a 6.7M loan for the college and claimed she had donors that agreed to pay for the loan when in fact it was a lie? Yeah, she had to resign and Federal prosecutors in Vermont declined to charge her. This was while Trump was president. Again Dems never get charged just skate.

Depends on when they were done and what was the scope. If you are going to say they were different, then show me what they are. How much, dates, circumstances, and what was included.
