What consequences has anyone from DOD or the US intelligence agencies every faced for their mistakes? They have managed to get tens of thousands of GI’s and American citizens killed through their screw ups and nothing, no firings, no disciplinary actions, nothing. When you work for a company that will allow you to make mind blowing disasters without penalty you tend not to put forth your best efforts.
Vietnam, 911, Without Reagan’s guidance they would have been content to fight the Cold War another 100 yrs, Iraq WMD’s, 20 years in Afghanistan with not a clue in hell of how to win, then the disastrous withdrawal.
