Former Detroit Police Chief James Craig to launch Senate campaign in Michigan
Fox News ^ | 10/3/23 | Kyle Morris

Former Detroit Police Chief James Craig will launch his campaign for the U.S. Senate in Michigan on Tuesday.

Craig, whose impressive law enforcement career in a handful of states spans more than 40 years, is seeking to replace retiring Democrat Sen. Debbie Stabenow in the Senate. He confirmed the news in an interview with Fox News Digital.

"A lot of people over the last year approached me and encouraged me and said, 'Look that's something you should really consider.' And I recognize that U.S. Senate is a big job – even though you're representing Michigan, you're also representing the country," said Craig, who's running as a Republican.

"Everything that I see going on today … it's frustrating. I'm angry about so much when it comes to open borders and seeing the level of fentanyl poisoning. I don't call it overdose. I call it poisoning because it's by design and these Mexican cartels are allowing this poison or bringing this poison into America," he said.

Maybe he won't be tricked into using Democrats to gather his signatures this time.

He'll be winning by 300K votes when everyone goes to bed Tuesday night.

When everyone awakens Wednesday morning he'll have lost by 50k-100k.

The usual in Michigan politics.

Dems wrote the book on dirty politics long ago in this state, even when "Republicans" controlled the legislature(they pretty much control nothing now).

Have a state with a large urban demographic, along with dumbass brain-fornicated college yutes?

Might as well kiss it goodbye.

I have a relative who worked with Cheif Craig in Detroit and has nothing but good things to say about him. He was liked and respected not just in Detroit but the surrounding area as well. I think he'll have a good chance of winning.

Can you give a sig?

Let’s help this guy’s petition campaign.

Polling suggests the race would be competitive with Craig as our candidate.

Plus, we would spread the field, helping our candidates in the must win states of West Virginia and Montana, and the nice to win states of Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Who knows, maybe even New Jersey and Virginia. It would be great to have robust majorities in each of the two houses of Congress.

Rocky, when did you become tired of winning?

Among the reforms we want to implement is counting the early vote during the day of the election and announcing the vote across all jurisdictions simultaneously. This cuts out the temptation of faking votes in late-reporting jurisdictions when you’re behind. They have this reform in Florida and nobody worries much about elections being stolen there. But, to get this reform in Michigan and other rat-infested states, we need to win. Even if the odds are against us, we need to win. But, a lot of people - and apparently you - have grown tired of winning and have allowed themselves to substitute being cheated for winning. Look, if you’re really out of the game, that’s too bad. But, don’t effectively join the other side by being so negative.

I really like Craig. But this is the state up north where bad things happen.

The "game" (as you call it), is now controlled by very powerful/well-positioned (financially/legally/other) deviants.

The only strategy left is to not bother with old-style politics, or trying to copy the tactics of deviants (we're simply too far gone now...and not deviant enough).

...no, "winning" is either to out-deviant the deviants(which, as I said, is probably not possible) -OR- remove the cancer the old-fashioned way.

It's just being honest, we ALL saw the cancer decades ago...and we ALL sat back and let it metastasize.

Now the only way OUR America "wins", is an act of aggression(on our part)...or an act of God.

James Pepper : Would you like to hear my opinion, Mr. John Simpson Chisum?

John Simpson Chisum : Nope.

James Pepper : Well, my opinion is all this speechifying, store keeping, prayer-meeting don't amount to spit in the river. There's only one thing that's going to make this territory know who's bull of the woods... and sometime or sooner it's going to happen. And you know it.

John Simpson Chisum : Do I?

James Pepper : You do. It's just going to be you and Murphy, head-to-head and horn-to-horn... and one hell of a fight. But one of you has got to lose, so the other one walks away with the herd and the whole shebang. Now, that's my opinion.

I often suspect that the posts that denigrate democracy are from Putin bots.

Could you say why China, Russia and Venezuela, not being functional democracies are better than western democracies?

At least 'bad things happen' there.

Up here in Coldifornia, bad things hold office - forever.

I’ll send him $100 after the election provided he wins. I’m getting tired of supporting people who lose.

I sent the same amount to Marsha Blackburn BEFORE the election knowing she’d probably win. She was no Bob Corker. I did the same for John Thune
(2004) vs. Tom Daschle. He has since gone stale.

Then there’s the $50 to the underwear model who succeeded Kennedy for 2 years. Money well spent.

Nostrovia!

(please)

I often suspect that the posts that think all is well, democracy still exists as it always has...are deep-state bots.

Do you believe there is a deep-state cabal infiltrating/undermining western culture?

Do you believe this cabal now basically controls major institutions of gov., finance, media, academia, law institutions, etc.?

Just because we are still better than other places, doesn't mean we could not end up being them.

From a simple combination of evil/lethargy, no place on earth is immune from oligarchy/serfdom.

"the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”

And your “answer” to the deep state is to be negative regarding upcoming elections. Do nothing and let them win.

Great logic, Ivan.

As for the deep state, the foundations of the Frankfort School are Marxist. Herbert Marcuse is one of you. We democratic capitalists have been fighting you since the mid 19th century.

Just being honest, Klaus.

Just how much "winning" have you "democratic" capitalists been doing lately?

Oh, never mind.

If you still think elections are the end-all, be-all problem solver in "today's" world of traitors and manipulators...enjoy your fantasy.

Remember Bush, McCain, Romney, Sessions, Pence, etc.?

...with "friends like that....you know, the thing...

....yeah, we all "won" with those "democratic capitalists", huh?

democratic versus authoritarian countries:

gdp per capita ppp-basis: US 65K, Russia 26K, China 18K
Freedom House rating: US 83; Russia 16, China 9

We’ve slipped on some measures during the past few years; but, we would have to collapse to fall to the level of Russia or China. The disparity is why we have or should have walls to keep people out; and, authoritarian countries have walls to keep people in.

Yes, we lost the House in 2016, and the Senate and the White House in 2020. But, we came back to win the House in 2022, and we are hopeful - without any help from naysayers like you - of winning the Senate and White House next year.

We are in a two-front war: progressive/New Left socialists within this country, and authoritarians without. But, we’ve been in two-front wars before.

As for Bush, McCain, Romney, et al., I’m proud to associate with all my fellow Republicans. And, this includes Trump and DeSantis, and a lot of others. We are a diverse lot. And we will win.
