I have lots of sympathy for oppressed Pirates who show initiative, but they really should start closer to home by trashing Eugene if they want to bring about effective change.
I fondly remember a trip involving a van full of people from the speech team senior year making mischief in SF.
We were a pretty rowdy bunch, but in a creative and conservative way. (Repurposing government property used for oppressive purposes among other things). My debate partner and I liberated South Carolina from Dinkin’s classroom map (she was the assistant coach at the time) and hauled South Carolina round in a briefcase all year for good luck.
It's not that far from crime ridden Portland, ME.
